You won't register noise on a meter. Try turning your motor drivers off and see if you still get limit trips.

Fix a felt tip to your tool holder and try drawing instead of cutting. Plasma is electrically filthy - this will test your table without interference from the plasma. It also means you're not wasting metal at this stage.

other thing you could try is to temporarily configure your switches as limits. Does it trip when stationary? - (noise from somewhere) or does it only trip when you move? (noise from motors etc.)

@krw125 - I see you've painted out the bit you missed. How's the purchase going?

why not just set your axis(s) max vel to 60 units/min i.e. 1 unit/sec and set 40 steps/unit (for your 40Hz) and then issue a g0 with some big number that gives you as long as you want to setup the axis gain.

Hmmmm - April the first for this and your last post - I wonder  ::)

I'm wondering if increasing the temperature gradient in both stages would help.

e.g. put the glass in the freezer prior to lasering and then warming it in the oven/hot water whatever, before hitting it with a freezer spray.

remember the safety glasses - it'll probably explode...  :o

You could also try increasing the number of radial lines maybe.

Darius - welcome to the forum. Unfortunately not only have you resurrected a 5 year old thread but you've done it twice. Please start your own thread - you'll get more/better replies if you do.
