General Mach Discussion / Re: Chinese motor controller

Can't remember where I saw this now but I read that the actual Toshiba driver chips themselves are apparently very good. It's the circuit design and implementation of (some?) of the boards themselves which is at fault. Like I say - can't remember the details but it was something about ignoring/mis-implementing the manufacturers power up sequence resulting in shorting the H-bridge. OUCH - that's going to make something very hot very quickly I think. This may have been on older boards using the 6560 though - I'm not sure about the newer ones using the 6600.

I copied some VB script as directed from You tube

Maybe post the script?

I konw sometime the user button and user DRO need user script

No - not sometime - always.

But the screenset which I learn from(SwissU) has no script for the parallel port pin LEDs

I wouldn't have expected it to. Re-read what I said about the macro pump (or perhaps even a brain)

so now... I think the userLED of oem-code 1855 to 1888 is defaults to belong to parallel port pins state, such as the LED of oem-code 137 to 160 :-\

Sadly, thinking something doesn't make it so.

EDIT: BTW - when you installed the screenset, did you read the readme? Maybe you missed the bit where it says:

"As you can see in the "Diagnostics" tab, I have already planned a series of LEDs for future version "Mach3 v4""

'scuse me for asking - but what is Mach3-2010 and Mach3-2016?

Oh ye of little faith  ;D

have you read the appropriate manuals here: http://www.machsupport.com/help-learning/product-manuals

Here's some tips on what you need to be reading up on.

You'll need to understand how to read the 3 ports of a parallel port i.e. the data, control and status ports.
You'll then need to understand how to mask out the appropriate bits and then use those values to set or clear user LEDs.
All this will need to be done in a loop so you'll need to understand the macro pump.

The best way to completely remove losses due to friction in perpetual motion machines is to lubricate with a generous amount of snake oil. Works every time.  ;)

oem leds 137 to 160 are the leds on the left i.e. those on the standard screen
of that group AFAIK only the 5 input leds actually work i.e. oem numbers 140 to 144.

All leds from 1000 up are user defined.

Look forward to seeing it if you find it.

Debugging code is one thing but trying to debug anecdotes is like trying to herd cats.  ;D

But there are times when Mach3 will not have full control over teh qued group of Gcode motion and it can get out of order as well.

You'd have to give me a concrete example of that before I'll bite  ;)
