General Mach Discussion / Mach3 and THC, more problems
« on: February 26, 2009, 04:56:11 AM »
Hi,
I started install.exe from THC300 downloaded from Bob Campbell. Then I start Mach3 with THC300SM3 profile, and:
1. THC ON/OFF big button don't reacts;
2. Jog block appears incomplete, no radio button, no yellow and red cursor triangles;
3. Mach3 screen doesn't fit the monitor screen;
4. There are two buttons below the Mach3 screen: Simplify screen and ReLoad;
Need emergency help

General Mach Discussion / THC300 configuring
« on: February 25, 2009, 02:21:38 PM »
Hi,
I'm trying to connect THC300 device to my own break board, and I have some doubts about two details:
On the Mach3 screen there is big area named: Torch Height Control, with THC on/of big button inside. I assume this is the button to activate THC and I think it must be connected to some Output. Witch one? And in Ports&Pins/Inputs there is Input named THC On? This confuses me.
There is also led, named: Torch Active. To witch Output it must be connected?
Please explanations

P.S.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 OEM codes for Feedhold and CYcle start
« on: February 24, 2009, 03:25:51 PM »
Yes, Hood,
Your solution is better than mine.
I'll change mine tomorrow.  Also I'll check my OEM codes (1000 and 1005).
Once again, isn't Resume (code 1005) instead of Cycle start more logical?

Hood,
I used such a schematic and this wiring from Mach3 manual. Estop and Limits activation will disconnect power for stepper drivers and stops job execution.
Also I have separate set of home switches wired to another pin. Do you think there is a better solution for plasma table?
Please advise.

THANKS A LOT! :), Hood
Now I get "Nothing to FeedHold".That's OK.
BTW, why is -1 as defult value in all OEM fields?

Hi Hood,
I tried this without any job loaded, just for testing switches.

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 OEM codes for Feedhold and CYcle start
« on: February 24, 2009, 12:47:32 PM »
Hi,
I just configured two switches connected to two parport pins as OEM trigger, one with OEM code 1001 for Hold and another with OEM code 1000 for Cycle start. No mather what Mach3 screen is active, I allways get (almost) blank screen when I press any of two switches. Bar on the top and Reset button are visible. I think that shouldn't happen. HELP!
BTW, isn't Resume  (code 1005) better than Cycle start for continuing?

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 Port configuration for THC
« on: February 16, 2009, 09:13:35 AM »
Hi Hood,
I have a question:

Exploring Mach3 Ports&Pins Setup, in Input pins section I see input pin for THC On. But in Mach3 guide (sample schematic of THC) there is no output witch can be mapped to this input.

On the other hand, there is Disable input to THC schematic . Where it should be connected? And how configured?

I'm confused about, please detailed explanation.

General Mach Discussion / Secondary Port for THC
« on: February 10, 2009, 01:18:03 PM »
I purchased brand new PC (2,3 GHz or something) and new PCI Parallel Port Card. After inserting card into slot, and starting PC BIOS doesn't see the card, and WIN XP also doesn't see it. (I think this is normally). After installing driver for this card, WIN does see it.
The question is: will Mach3 see the port #2 on so installed card?

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3-Stop between two parts
« on: February 10, 2009, 04:45:57 AM »
Thanks Hood,
To check if I understand, I'll repeat.
I think I put M1 code to stop, when preparing in SheetCam? Or?
What to put for continuing the job after that?

If I use FeedHold, does it do stop and start also?
Maybe this is a switch, not push button?
