Mach3 and G-Rex / Re: Mach3 driver problem
« on: May 20, 2021, 06:17:57 PM »
So you did not get it.
Without driver and without license Mach3 will load all G-code for preview - no motion of machine.
With driver and without license - 500 line limit
With driver and with license - almost no limit on G-code size

Without a license, limit is 500 lines with driver loaded.
Without driver loaded Mach3 works in preview mode without generating movements.
So, no need to cry  8)

Well, roadrunner has 4472 lines and demo limit is 500 :)

All samples delivered with Mach3 installation are in inches, so, as Craig wrote, edit the code and place G20 at the code beginning, OR use scaling:

Your vectors could be joined in Corel Draw, but it takes much more time, and when you export such continuous vector it is made of zillion of straight segments (as can be seen after importing in Aspire).

I'm using Vectric Aspire.
G-code that I sent starts on the left side :)
There are a couple problematic points in the drawing that I had to address. Some circles were just that - circles, had to be cut as well as other places where cutouts had to be made.
After, all was easy. Select all vectors and Join them.

Multiplying is also easy :) Just Join ends of copies together.

You can watch the process: https://youtu.be/Qay4ULrGTbI

OK, I took a look at your vectors, and in your file there are 162 individual ones :)
The one attached is a single vector and should be done without  lifting Z until it reaches the end.
Also, try the attached G-code (edit it to  suite your needs).

Can you attach the pattern in vector format?

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Planned expansion board

You need 2 supplies to have opto isolation between your inputs and ULN chip because you NEED different Commons (aka GNDs) for each side (input side and output side).
If you do not need galvanic isolation, then you can omit optos and drive ULN inputs directly. Relays are, anyway, galvanic isolation between your inputs and pneumatic valves.

Preliminary "reverse engineered" board from your picture, omitted voltage stabilisator. :)

1. Install Mach3 on new computer.
2. Copy from old system  c:\Mach3\[whateveristhenameofyourprofile].xml to new system (if you are using mill/router it should be Mach3Mill.xml)
3. Copy all .set files from old systems C:\Mach3 to new system C:\Mach3
4. Copy ALL folders under C:\Mach3 folder on old system to the C:\Mach3\ on new system

That way all of your specific data will be transferred to new system: Screen sets, Macros, ...
