hello
please forgive my ignorance I have neglected to explore this forum for a while and am still getting to know mach3 although we are mightily impressed at last we can conrtoll the mill without getting frustrated even thogh weve not used many of the features or settings in mach3 we are beggining to see all the answers to our questions ...using mps pro2003 was like riding a trike with the stableisers still on remember when you were three?? ....ha ha now its like I have a trike with a v8..... mmmmm maybee!!!!..(not that mps isnt good for breaking the milk teeth becuase it is...I just wish the reseller had realised mach 3 was out there it would have done him a lot of good to think ahead.
anyway Ii have a question ... is there a list of keyboard short cuts? or more to the point can I rotate A from a key ? and can I plunge also from a shortcut?? if I put a joystick on will that give me greater controll i have plenty of little jobs that require manual operation i know the arrow keys operate XY but Ii need ZA too im sure it can be ??
thanks you very much
regards "H"@Niges

General Mach Discussion / taig mill motor tuning
« on: December 01, 2006, 06:57:48 AM »
hello folks
we have now purchased the mach 3 software and are in the process of figuring it out ................................time for beer
the main problem is that we are thick    i dont mean a bit stupid i mean really thick or at least thats what my other half says
i hold a more optamistc outlook .........i just think im unlucky somtimes .....ha ha
we got the software running and now we have motion but there seems to be a problem getting the step settings  motor tuning settings correct...
could sombody perhaps point us in the right direction did i recall someone saying they had a taig set up here in the uk (or anywhere ) using mach 3
also could you explain the difference between mach3 and mach3 mill .......

General Mach Discussion / taig mill
« on: November 25, 2006, 07:13:44 AM »
hello folks
complete newbee to the forum
i have been running a taig mill for two years on the mps2003 programme and have been a little downhearted with the lack of control
not that I'm an experienced engineer, quite the opposite  i am a designer and relatively new to engineering.
we are a UK based company and  have been using artcam software to create jewellery which is a fantastic programme and the taig mill is adequate for our use as most of the stuff we produce is wax so we are not really dealing with torque so much, we also use mills from bits and bits in the US.
when i saw the Mach 3 programme i thought i should give it a whirl ,however it seems a little complex so Ive got my head down in the pdf manual so i might be some time ....................
my question is if anybody is or has used taig mills with Mach 3 and if so could i be setting the pins wrong or something ??? as i cant seem to get any com/ control
i would appreciate any feedback at all
