Thanks Scott, that's given me something to work with! :)

One other thing you might be able to give me some advise on if you would'nt mind?

I would like to be able to display what jog mode I'm in via my LCD, as already have what Axis and Jog increments are active on screen.

"If GetOEMLED(117) = 1 then" will get me Velocity active and I then get stuck on how to display the text "Velocity" on the LCD.

What other code would be needed to display diferent text depending what Jog mode I'm in?

I hope this makes sense! ???

Regards

Gary

VB and the development of wizards / macropump & LCD
« on: December 17, 2010, 11:45:04 AM »
Hello all,

I'm using the macropump script to display information on my LCD screen on my pendant.

Does anyone know if it's possible to make the axis letter blink when it's selected?

The line of code below show the Z axis userlabel. If I could either make the letter blink or just appear when selected it would be great!

SetUserLabel (103,"Z" & Format (GetDro(2), "+000.0000;-000.0000"))

Am I trying to ask the impossible, any thoughts?  ???

regards

Gary

Hi,

I've just tried your brain, and it won't reset the oemdro back to zero on my machine.

Not sure if I'm missing something?

Cheers

PoKeys / LCD Flicker
« on: December 14, 2010, 08:53:42 AM »
I have a 4x20 LCD which works fine within the config tool, but when it's used with mach3 it flickers like mad! When you shutdown mach3, the screen stops flickering again.

I'm using the latest version of everything needed, does anyone know what the problem could be?

I was me!! I had the plugin set for Popendant which is why my LCD had information on it! I've now set it to stock pendant and the macro pump is working!!

I've gone through the manual, and have tried the macropump which works for a split second as mach3 opens. After that whatever is setting the default screen overrides the macropump, and it goes back to what it was!

Where is it calling the default default display from?

PoKeys / Pokeys LCD

I've just got the pokeys 55 working with the latest plugin, it has the X,Y and  Z axis along with the feed speed and so forth displaying as default. The plugin is set to read from the user labels, but I cannot see where to edit them. I've looked in the manual and cannot seem to find anything about a default display or where to edit it.

Does anyone know where I should edit the user labels, as I'm unsure of how it's even working at the moment!

My aplogies for another post on this subject, I'm hoping it's me being just being dumb!!  :-\

Cheers

Hi,

My name is  Gary and I live in the south West of the UK. I work in the Networking & Security side of IT.

I use a Myford Super 7B Lathe for a lot of my work, and I did have an old Chester Milling machine which has now be replaced. I decided to buy a Sieg X3 and then had the crazy idea of converting it to CNC. Not knowing much about CNC, I did some research and started to look and Mach3 for the control side. On the mechanical side, I used CNC Fusions conversion kit with the standard ballscrews and Motion King stepper motors.

On the electronic side, I've used Joc stepper drivers and a CNC4PC breakout board for the interface. My power supply for the stepper motors is home made and is toroidal based.

I've just got it up and running, so far it's working to within .03mm! I'm now converting a 6" rotary table from Arc Euro Trade to use as a 4th axis.

I'm into building Steam models and am currently building a Fowler A7 traction engine in 2" scale. I also fly RC Helicopters, one of which is a turbine powered! I hope the use the mill to build my own model turbines.

Cheers for now

Gary
