I see

I guess, probably the quality of the resistors installed was not good.

Thanks a lot

sorry for my ignorance, but the resistors are built-in the Grecko 201 drivers or they have to be  connected to the driver's output.

Thanks.

Can Mach3 control the amount of current that goes to the motors?

Hi.  We use desktop 4-axis mills for jewelry.  Gecko based controllers with G201 drivers, Mach3 software.  After a year, on 2 mills the motors have gotten so hot that the cables come into the motors got burned (smoke came out of the cables).  The machines were in 2 different locations.

Could it be that the drivers are sending too much current to the motors?
or the coils on the motors went bad and got too hot?

I'd appreciate your comments.

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Servo controller SYS-4A from IMS
« on: July 13, 2007, 10:11:46 PM »
HI.  I'm considering buying an SYS-4A servo controller from IMS to control a desktop CNC to make jewelry wax models.

If you are using or have used this controller, I'd appreciate your comments/feedback.

Thanks

When the Mach3 program starts it shows in the Feed Rate 6.00   How can I change this value to 400 mm/min

Also, sometimes the Feedrate Override values changes to 1000.   I'd appreciate your comments/suggestions what can be changing this value.

Thanks

Ernie

General Mach Discussion / Homing - G54
« on: November 20, 2006, 05:13:05 PM »
After homing the CNC, I need to send the machine to the coordinates saved on G54.  I'd appreciate any help on the script to place on the button to send the machine to this position.

Thanks

Ernie
