Mach4 General Discussion / probing problems
« on: September 28, 2017, 10:49:02 AM »
Hi all
I wonder if I am missing somthing in the  set up of the probing screens. I am having problems with Mach 4 probing.
First of all my probe works fine mach 3 with PobeIt and with Art's routines.
I am using the same milling machine and comuter with both Mach 3 and 4.
when I run the calibration in mach 4 the probe hits home once then comes up with "error probe not touching".
I am running in metric and have converted the default settings in the Probing Calibration Mach4 video to mm
I am probiing a 25mm dia inner bore.

I am using Mach 4 Ver 4.2.3481 ESS ver 210

Thanks
Bob

When i click the pindle button or the's' key the STrue DRO  goes to 1 then goes back to 0 when I let go of the button.

General Mach Discussion / Myford cnc conversion spindle readings
« on: January 02, 2015, 08:15:42 AM »
Hi All
First of all happy new year to you all.
now I wonder if someone outthere can help me with a problem.
I am converting a Myford Super 7 lathe to CNC and I am having a problem with the spindle DRO reading.
I am setting up mach 3 as Tony jeffries instructions at the follwing

http://www.jeffree.co.uk/pages/ml7-cnc/part-4-files/myfordcncpt4.htm

I have the sensor giving good readings on pin 10 (Useing a scope and moving the drive belts changes the freqency)
so it all looks OK but there is no reading in the True DRO everything else seems to be working .
Iam using mach 3 ver R3.043.066
I would appreciate any help
Thanks
Bob

By the way in the diagnostics screen the index led flashes as the spindle turns.
