How to wire up a Reflective Object Sensor (OPBA) using the index function in Mac3 to read actual rev. of the spindle. I have input 11 on the BOB available for the task.
I will be most grateful for any help.

SmoothStepper USB / Motor tuning doesn't open
« on: May 25, 2019, 12:13:47 PM »
I was going to cut some clock wheels. When checking the A-axes it revolved more than 200 dg. when asked for 180 dg. Tried to open the Motor Tuning under the Config in Mach3 CNC Controller. It would not open. Is this a SS issue?
Please help! What to do?
Thanks sivtek

Hi Hood

Thanks for your offer. I tried to attach the xml and file last night, but I did mot manage.
However, after a night sleep I decided to re-install Mach3. After that all is in order.
Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Objekt out of sight on screen
« on: January 23, 2014, 03:37:21 PM »
Hi
When I load a object into the mill the picture do not show up at the working area on the screen, but far outside. I have "homed" all the axes. This have not happen to me before. The mill is cutting the object OK but the indicator on the screen don't follow picture on the screen.
Do I have a corrupt file? Should I re-install MACH3? Any advice and suggestion is most welcome.

General Mach Discussion / Re: x and y movement confusen

When you enter 10 in the DRO and press goto zero, the tool is moving from 10 to 0. When you do G0 X10, the tool is moving from 0 to 10. Opposite directions.
Thanks, that explains it. The only thing now is to change the direction on the x arrow movement.

Johannes

I tested the mill again and everything is ok, in a matter of fact it was ok all the time. What was wrong was that I had not learnd the "driving rules".
Thanks for putting me right (and my confusing).

Thanks, but that was not the qestion. If you look at my question you se that the movement in one axses is differen according to the way I am using mach 3. I was espekting the spindle to move in the same direction if I used either arrow left, go to sero using dro x 10 or using MDI g0x10. Am I wrong? Have I explaind me OK?
Espect that it is some settings in mach 3 I have missed?
