Mach3 under Vista / Problem with Feed rate in Win7 32 Bits
« on: July 25, 2016, 11:44:31 AM »
I have observed a strange problem while migrating my Mach3 program from win xp machine to Win7 32 bit machine. If I give a command G01 X 100.0 F 100, what I get actually is a feed of 84 in place of commanded 100 mm/min. I have observed the same condition, while trying mach3 demo with win7 32 bit laptop. This happens with mill or turn equally.
The same program runs just fine with win xp machine. If i give a feed override of 120%, the feed attains nearly 100.8
Can some one point any reason for this kind of behavior?

Hello Forum,
I am trying to use Mach3 for Router Control with A axis having tangential control. If I use it that way, all my rest of the axis are slowing down when negotiating a non circular profile. And A axis also moves hasitatingly though not missing any steps. If I roate A axis alone, it works fine. Is there a way to sort this problem?

Friends,
I Intend to use Mach3 for Plasma Cutting. I am looking for suitable CAM software for CAD to G CODE Conversion having nesting capabilities. I am not able to find any nesting capability with Lazy Cam. I need to confirm if this is really so.
Also I request some experienced Plasma users to suggest some third party software  having nesting capability and compatible with Mach3.
I also have another problem while using Lazy Cam for Plasma. For touch down, Lazy cam gives G28.1 Axis Ref. command and then places Z0 in the next line, which fails to initiate Ref. Home command. If this Z0 is placed in the same line as G28.1, it does the referencing well. So, is there some thing I am missing? Is there a way to place Z0 in the same line, or make G28.1 operate having found z0 in the next line?
Please advise.

General Mach Discussion / Feed Hold and Stop
« on: June 06, 2010, 07:25:41 AM »
Frieds,
While using Mach3 Mill, while I use stop button, axis stops abruptly and axis positioning is also showing variation. This does not happen with Feed Hold. I understand that Mach stops the movement and other outputs at the earliest when Stop command given. Should this cause loss of steps with servos? Because, Mach is able to maintain the count of the steps given to the output and so is servo. I fail to understand why should I lose steps in this case.
Thanks.

General Mach Discussion / Sheet MEtal Bending with Mach3
« on: January 18, 2010, 01:53:59 AM »
I wish to control A Sheet Metal Bending press with Mach3 by Single axis control of the Back Gage. Has any one customised Mach for this kind of applications? Back gage is a platform behind the front of the press from where sheet is fed over the shaping die and back gage is positioned at different locations for referencing the plate to be bent.

Thanks and Rfegards.
