FAQs / Homing
« on: April 29, 2009, 08:29:36 AM »
Hi All,
I have two routers that I work on. One with mach with mach 3 and works fine. the other one has Mach2 and has a problem homing. On the first machine when I start up I always home, the machine moves to the limit switches and zero's OK.
The second machine being upgraded to Mach 3 will not go to the limit switches unless the ref home button is pressed many times, each time it moves about 200mm in the correct direction and zeros the machine coordinates. This happens in both Mach2 & 3. No soft limits are set.

Any help would be appreciated, my next option is to replace the motors with handles.
Thanks in advance
Willie

I had to replace my motherboard after total loss of all my data. On reloading NFS license in the mach3 parent directory I still get a message that I am not licensed. Is there a problem loading on another computer. I still have only one computer.
Any help will be appreciated.

LazyCam (Beta) / Lazy Cam Problem
« on: September 11, 2007, 09:59:11 PM »
I am learning how to use lazycam and have a problem when I process a DXF.
When I post to Mach3 the routine cuts fine, BUT it also cuts all the lead in symbols.
What is it that I am missing.

General Mach Discussion / Charge Pumps
« on: June 16, 2007, 09:54:25 AM »
Hi Guys,
Will a charge pump in Mach3 be any help in eliminating missing steps.
I am using Win 2000 and the hardware is HobbyCNC Pro board.
If so are there any macro's around that I could "borrow" that would fit my setup.

General Mach Discussion / Simple MPG hookup to Mach3
« on: June 14, 2007, 09:11:47 AM »
What is thi simplest way to conect an MPG to Mach3
I have a HP HEDS-5500 H14 encoder with 5 pins.
Do I need some form of interface or can this be done directly through
my Hobby CNC PRO board.

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / cross hairs move in wrong direction
« on: January 14, 2007, 05:37:23 AM »
I have just completed my first gantry router.
I am using Mach3 and HobbyCNC controller.
Everything worked first time except the cross hairs move in the wrong direction when jogging.
I just spent the last 12 hours setting everything up and maybe I am a suffering mental fatigue.
I tried many things, even reversed the motors, but nothing works.
It has to be something simple, but what?
