FAQs / Homing
« on: April 29, 2009, 08:29:36 AM »
Hi All,
I have two routers that I work on. One with mach with mach 3 and works fine. the other one has Mach2 and has a problem homing. On the first machine when I start up I always home, the machine moves to the limit switches and zero's OK.
The second machine being upgraded to Mach 3 will not go to the limit switches unless the ref home button is pressed many times, each time it moves about 200mm in the correct direction and zeros the machine coordinates. This happens in both Mach2 & 3. No soft limits are set.

Any help would be appreciated, my next option is to replace the motors with handles.
Thanks in advance
Willie

I had to replace my motherboard after total loss of all my data. On reloading NFS license in the mach3 parent directory I still get a message that I am not licensed. Is there a problem loading on another computer. I still have only one computer.
Any help will be appreciated.

Assuming that I edit in  offsets between each module, would I have to cancel each offset at the end of each module. If so what G-code do I use. I am only learning to understand G-Code

Thanks for the response Ron,
I might try to edit the program  using offsets to save cutting so much air.
I am using Mach3.

Hi Brian,
I have a similar problem.
Iwant to machine multiple pockets but each one progressivly smaller and inside the last one.
An example would be similar to the turners cube..
I have a license for the NFS wizards.
Any help will get my everlasting gratitude and a card for xmas.

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: Lazy Cam Problem
« on: September 14, 2007, 04:26:41 AM »
Greetings, WFJ. Have you tried to turn off the leadins? When you say lead-in symbols, do you mean the straight, slant, or circular lead-ins? Some might use lead-ins but I use plunge-able router bits and cut in wood, so I don't need 'em.
Thanks for the reply.
That solved the problem

LazyCam (Beta) / Lazy Cam Problem
« on: September 11, 2007, 09:59:11 PM »
I am learning how to use lazycam and have a problem when I process a DXF.
When I post to Mach3 the routine cuts fine, BUT it also cuts all the lead in symbols.
What is it that I am missing.
