I need some of the Plug in screw connectors for the ICM 2900. Mine was not completely populated.

I do not know what was the cause, but a master reset fixed it.
I had to pull the card out and install it again. After master reset computer no longer was seeing the 1830

Mach3 does see the card now and no more error!

I have been reading the PDF on Plugin Configuration but I feel really stupid I cannot find the Plugin configuration screen.  
Could someone point me in the correct direction?

Galil / Install Error

Hi Guys,

Per instructions from Smurph

I just wiped my win7 install, installed xppro 32, smarttermwith version 7 drivers.
I then installed Galil Optima 1830  I have not hooked up any motors or jumpers to the card.

When launching Smart Terminal In a message box I get a message.

An interrupt has occurred. Status byte=DA(hex)

There is an OK button in the box, but nothing happens if I click on it. Or anything else on the screen.
I have to Cntrl+Alt+Del to get out of this screen.

Any Ideas what this could be.

Yes I guess I should just sell the Galil cards on ebay and start over.

It has been so long since I have used XP PRO I hope I can still remember how to use it!

Smurph thanks for your response.

If you drop support for the Bus Based Galil cards us Folks who have them will still be able to use Mach3 as long as we do not update Mach3 should be ok still using them yes?

So what card do you recommend getting?

I posted this in another thread, but this thread that is the only one getting any action so I am going to ask again here.

I am setting up a new dedicated computer now for Mach3 . I was able to pick up an Optima 1830 Pci
I had some new unused parts available even though they are dated by todays standards.

Intel q6600 Gigabyte board 500 gb 4gb DDR3 1600 ram 750 Watt Power Supply

So I can now run a faster computer than the one with my Galil ISA card

Do I install Smart term still or the new galil Suite?

I was reading in another thread that the MPG hand wheel is the problem.I hope I read wrong.

Hi Steve/ Smurph,

If I have a Galil optima 18x3 set up with steppers and use linear encoders will Galil and Mach see this as closed loop?

I know this is a noobish question, but even after using Galil with 2 software packages gCNC and Camsoft for over a decade I still do not really understand the configuring of it that well.


If I am going to run steppers without encoders and want spindle control (I bought the cnc4pc c6 board ) with Mach3 would I actually be better off using the smooth stepper Ethernet board?

I also noticed reading last night that with the Galil I am not going to be able to use a MPG hand wheel pendant without much tweaking.

The handwheel pendant is a must for me!

Thanks for your input. I am about a weeks time away from testing, I am waiting until I figure out a few more things before I install Mach3 on the Mill computer.

Oh during testing and config is it Ok to run the Demo version of Mach? Ihave not bought a license yet. I thought I read it does a bunch of lines of code without a license.

This brings up a good question for me.
I am setting up a system With a Optima 18x3 with steppers.

Do I install Smartterm or the new Suite.

Also I am confused on another Topic which I guess should be posted elsewhere, but here I go.
I am building a machine using Parker Daedal Cross Roller stages/ actuators.
These come with optical limits attached and linear encoders.

Does anyone Know how to hook these up?

My bridgeport that I have and used for many years ( now in storage ) I had the limits disable the enable on the Amp ( stepper driver)
