Hey, don't get Phill too good at this CNC stuff as he may just give up the mallet and carving tools .....thus another good artisan will have gone over to the dark  side of the craft.

Thanks folks,
Just a reflection,
Can you imagine the new user going through a learning curve, which is bad enough,
and then he's going bonkers wondering whats wrong or even reading this post and saying .....well which
version is most appropriate and solid.
I know that there has been a lot of work put into fixes, but sometimes fixing the faucet and breaking the pipe
leaves the owner with no joy. Sort of like driving a car blind folded. So on a scale of 1 to 10 this one is a 10.
Just thinking of the newbie ( hey that's me ).

 I don't think there is anything wrong on your side of the fence other than graphics display
between versions. I will only comment saying that it can be frustrating enough to go through your
 learning experience without this kind of issue to make it more complex.  Stay with us my friend as we
need the help.

 I just reloaded version 3.041 to a separate directory and opened a lot of turn files with no apparent issue.

Try reducing the width of the grooving tool. Also make note what your posting options are out of the program.
Play with the varius settings of the tool to see what happens for your learning.  You need to have a point tool to go around the ball
on the other side as a any tool with width would hit the profile in practical machining. Thus tool change required unless very small turning. Also make sure the sharp corners have a radius which is larger than the tool radius. Also review the material on LaycamTurn located in the members docs section.Post the dxf file .

What version are you running which dosn't have the display problem?
I think i had .012 on before updating.

Strange happenings.
 
One file will not soom out at all - 9 itemfp_hcir

One file can zoom out all you want - 5dxf_NOCLR ( in fact with this file i zoomed out until i only saw two end points of two lines and then it locked the computer up - can't duplicate that again - hate to pull the plug out of computer)

This file will only do a limited zoom - 5dxf_noclr_wprofile (say half as much as the other / same file but it has a finishing cut added to it)

And the graphics display varies widely.

HELP 
Just updated to R3.042.020 and seem to have a little problem with the graphics screen in MACH3turn, namely can't see the part
very well. This is also happening with another computer which has R3.042.18 on it. Never had this problem in any of the other
revisions.    a turn bug?   any suggestions?

Just upgraded to MACH 3.042.020 and also see the issues with the display, so your not alone.
In fact for some reason it won't zoom out as far as it did before which is very annoying. Can't even see
a small part any ideas?
