Show"N"Tell ( Your Machines) / Re: Started my Taig enclosure......

Dave,
What are you going to do with all your extra time because you don't need to clean up?
Next you will have coolant to give it a bath.

He all kidding aside, look around the flea markets and yard sales see if you can find one of those circular
robotic vacuum cleaners. My friend bought and fixed one up and his basement floor is always clean.
It learns it's way around the shop, programs the cleaning,  and then parks itself in the charger.
hHe paid $20.00 and i am still looking for one. The dog would love it to!

Willem,
Now i understand.Depending on what operation chosen ( when implemented ) differences would be needed in depth of cut and feed rate. The tool parameters already have that built in and maybe for each operation you may be required to define a different tool before generation of an operation.
At some point, it still come's down to the user needing to put reasonable values and apply some common sense for any task.
This eludes me to a part of the manual "Practical Machining Operations" which I put in the manual.
I don't know what ART has planned and to what degree the program will address related input decisions.

Just remember that 1 sec is equal to .000004848" in an inch and originaly you were talking
around 2.52 MINUTES  of concern which is .0007" in an inch.
Machine and enjoy.  ;)

Willem,
Can you explain more about the parameter table / what you mean?

Never had your problem with the driver screen. Did you reboot the PC after installing MACH?

I don't have your display problem here, My screen resolution is set at 1024x768.
Do you have any problem with the MACH3 main screen when the program opens?

try in General Config ....check AUTO ENLARGE box located lower middle inside  Screen Control box.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Buzzing steppers
« on: January 04, 2009, 04:54:04 PM »
Bob,
1. The pulse signal out of the PP
2. The signal at the BOB input termnal
3. The signal at BOB ouput termnal
4. The signal at the drive input terminal
5. The signal at the drive output treminal """"caution do not do unless you really
know what your doing as you can short and blow a drive """""""" but before you get
to this one, i think, if there is a problem, you will have found it and thus no need

Scope displays can vary depending on adjustments, make sure the probes are calibrated / adjusted.
If they have a scope they will know what to do and how to interpret.

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: lazy cam loading full elipse to mach 3
« on: January 04, 2009, 03:34:00 PM »
Dave,
What's the code limitations of Mach and LazyCam and I also remember that if a circle or elipse is fragmented /
broken into small segments you get a lot of code and sometimes if it's loop it count's it like it's a lot of code.

It could be the bob but it may be your PC. So if you have a scope and look at the signal
along the way you could possibly find the source.

BLENDER FILLED WITH GRAVEL SOUND
The sound of the stepper is a good tool. If a stepper gets hot ( maybe because of a current
setting ) it will sound and behave funny and hopefully noticed before that burnt smell is sensed.

Mrs stepper is getting a mr nice pulse and walking like a champ,
but some Kremlin dosn't care for mr nice pulse and also throws some pulses at mrs stepper, some hard, some soft, sporaticaly.
Now mrs stepper is still walking along and  the mr nice pulses are stronger and keep mrs stepper walking
along.
The Kremlin pulses are hitting mrs stepper somehwere during the walk and all they can do is
bonk against the stide.
The bad pulses give mrs stepper a ringing in her heart and can cause walking problems and sometimes even making her stop and sit down.

You really don't want the technical version! ;)
