Your computer should be dedicated to CNC. Yes, you can have other stuff loaded on it,
but don't run other porgrams while machining.

Hmm,
A lot of stuff will fall under 500 lines, but i am not sure if that's the true limit, and may be less,
especialy if there is loop  or canned cycle in the file.

There is no time limit on the license.
Th only update being done is to update the Turn Module which will eventualy replace
LazyCam (LC)  turn with LazyTurn (LT), and the LC license will be good for LT.

Go to the Members Docs, there is a manual there for Lazycam. It will provide you with a lot
of how to quicky. You can join items selected on the screen, right mouse click in display area invokes a fly out,
join selected items.

I suggest you look at and understand the concepts presented as that will make your learning curve much quicker.

If you can't find what you want to know in the manual, post / complain to the writer!  

BTW some menus associated with the modules only work if you have a llicense.
The manual  assumes you have a license, and as such dosen't talk about a non-lic version.

The wizards are included with current version of Mach and will post unlimited lines of code with a license. If you don't have a  license, the lines are limited. I never had your stated problem when using the wizards.

There is a section in the LazyCam Manual , in Members Docs, which deals with text.
LC and DeskEngrave work but are limited for text.

if you are going to do a lot of text or engraving, take Ger21's advice. Text can be a real PITA because of font. And some specialized programs should make it easy. I haven't tried v-carve pro.

A CNC lathe lets you machine stuff that would be very difficult to do on a manual machine.

If you looked through the LazyTurn manual, then take a look at the manual for LazyCam.
I just posted an updated version of it which includes a Lathe section and uses the same file
from LT's manual / section 5.

There are two problems a new user must address when using cnc with code generated from any software:
1. Tool application to the piece you want to machine along with defining the machining steps and order of machining

2. The basic prepratory lathe setup and also proper start and return of the tool

LC Turn can do some things that are not yet implimented in LT and the license for LC Turn will be honored for
LazyTurn ( as i understand it ). They are two different programs! That said, you will not find a lathe program anywhere for the License price, for what you get, even within the limitations of both.

JAJA,
I am usualy using them  in velocity only.
To get the movement i mentioned just fool with the counts / unit along with velocity settings in
CONFIG>PORT&PINS> ENCODER / MPG'S
Think my encoders are 2048 , just note  that i use them as stated and as such they are not truly callibrated.

Almost all my code for the work i do utilize wizards, Lazycam Turn along with LazyTurn  to generate the code.
Once in a while some other programs. Manual coding only when i need to edit or manipulate the Gcode.

PS: I am not exactly nuts about using an MPG to do actual machining .....just one slip on the wheel and .......
could be bad news!

Was just a real rough draft and didn't want folks wasting paper. 

Yes, I created it. Should be done in a day or so and you will be able to print it out. 
After chewing on it some, felt it just didn't cut it, so, expanded it to show how to do more.
Like turning, grooving, facing, final finish pass. Stay tuned, it will be in REV "D" of the LC manual
update. The manual can be found in the Members Docs.
