Silveron,
Don't know how manny moves your making with the y axis, how good all the mechanical stuff is, etc.
How much backlash do you have and where is it coming from?
How linear are the screws?
Mechanical errors can add up over manny moves and result in what your seeing.
Just some thoughts,

Love the video Mike.  Most folks just don't know what a family room should be used for nor do they appreciate a robotic version of  a ping pong table.  ???Should you decide to do some wood working in there, I want you to know, one section of my dog house is available for leasing and the rent is rather cheap.

I will remark that LC leaves something to be desired when trying to do relief cut or raised text within a boarder. If your are going to do a lot of this kind of work I would suggest using a different program.

I am curiuos also. Post the files .You may also want to post the LCAM file from Lazycam prior to posting it to Mach.
Not familar with Draftsight so can't be of any help on it.

I'll leave this one to the cnc router folks. No harm in reviewing or comparing the spec's of pro model machines since that will surely give you  a sound basis to question your deisgn intentions and what others may recommend. Do it right the first time ....it's cheaper.

Do as Hood replied. You don't say how long you have used the machine. No matter how you tune .....only after use will you find what settings will be reliable and repeatable. May not like the feedrates and rapid velocities but that's a different topic.

Usually you would draw the profile for what you want and before you even start you probably know what stock size you will use.
For the rough cut try taking a rather large depth of cut, say .125", see what kind of pathing you get with the tool you have selected.
then reduce the cut in half, then in half again, this way you will quickly see a workable path generation and remaining material to be removed. Very easy to redo.
The idea of the rough is to remove as much material as possible , then refine it with a rough finish and finaly a finishing cut.
Doing the example will give you a flavor of tool use. Not much difference then if you were doing it manualy on the tool side.

Believe it or not, for the most part, all 130 +- pages of the all the postings are covered in the manual.
Pay attention to how the drawing should be done. Download the file used in section 7.2 and duplicate what i did
and then try different tools, etc to see what the affects are on the pathing.

I assume that you are meaning to glamp the part so that the suface is perpendicular to the vertical tool.
It will work and will test the code out.

I have been playing around in Autocad 3D, real PITA to place the checkering just so if one dosen't want to  rotate the part.

Meshcam is used to provide pathing to radius the left side, and then once that is done and without moving the piece, the right side
where the checkering will be placed is  machined to a concave face. This is done with an 1/8" RN end mill. Then without moving the piece a point tool is used to scribe in the checkering. Need to remove the bulk as the darn point tool will blunt out or break in a heart beat...

In addition to the button release also need to do checkering on the trigger and grips which are not even modeled yet. Figured i would start with something easy ...HA HA!

Understand, but think you'll find that you'll get to the top of the mountain quicker if ya have a look at the manual to find the easier path
to the top. Falling off the cliff on the way hurts and gets old quick.
