Larry,
In Cambam you can change the start point from  where you located the profile relative to the drawing origin.
Scroll down the properties listing and you will see START POINT. Also have a look at the Cambam Manual and their site videos.

Are you saying that you have the machine axis  constantly moving back and forth 60" and after 2-5 minutes the axis on returning to zero
is off?

I'm trying to cut a part and my Y axis is constantly losing position. This is driving me nuts!!

What is causing this???

under the hood:

Keling Nema 34 1200oz, Drive KL-9082, Apollo I Breakout Board V1.0 (MachMotion)

Am I missing some setting?

So how strong of nema 23 stepper do I need to lift that head.

You can calculate the required torque using a sizing program but would be easier to just use what others use on that kind of machine.
What size motors would have came with the conversion kit if you purchased them with the x2 conversion kit?

Could be caused by a number of things.
Is the reset button blinking? IF so click it.

Post your xml file and someone can take a look and see if there is anything wrong.

None that i know of else I would not have purchased anything and would be using it.
But then I may be out of touch with the latest free offerings out there.

All my 3D work is done in CAD and use Meshcam to generate the code.
It works for me and the price was right for what i wanted to do.....your preferences could be different.

Ok, then no need to post a pic's of the axis.

Probotix says it could be caused by 'missing steps' in the motor, which is a motor tuning issue

What did they say to do?

Mach won't work with 64 bit. Laptops may or may not work.  An older pc with a PP will work fine but stay away from on-board graphics as the pulse signal may not be good.

PP cards can be low, high or dual voltage. IE; 3.3, 5 or both and there is usualy a jumper that you can set if dual voltage output.
To change state there needs to be an adequate voltage change at the pin and depending on the computer you will need a 5.5 card.
