Hmm....
Haven't tried it but you should be able do it with LazyTurn.
The tool will need to be ground for the V.
LazyTurn should generate code such that the tool pathing would be back and forth progressing into the v slot and
then a fiinish finsh cut folowing the V profile to clean it up.

Just something that came to mind,

From my rusty memory!

Even if calculated and dim used ....sometimes didn't cover rpm range ...so made it bigger
In fact made some about 1/4 the size of the circumference and worked fine.

A CD Rom painted black work nice and saves some time in making it.

Everything I know about LC is that manual along with the tutorials.
If it's not in there, then your on your owne. I never spent a lot of time fooling with the tabbing because I did not care for it' s results.
Do not use LC for the lathe, use LazyTurn which was a replacement for that module.

Some things work well and some don't , bugs  found are listed in the manual.

I'll take a look at the file later.
I wrote some info on tabbing some time ago, can't find the stupid file, but was in a reply to someone so it's on this site.
Anyway, tabbing can be a little finicky, sometimes a real PIA. In fact only remember 1 post from someone wanting to use tabs in all this time.
Your the second one.

If I want tabs, I create them in the CAD file. In fact, for  what ever I want to machine / machining steps are created in the CAD  and put on different layers in CAD.

I use LazyCam version 3.002 ( when in LC the about says that is the version )
The LC exe  in my Mach3 directory is dated 1/3/2008.

You should install Mach3, and before Mach3 is finished installing,you will be asked if you want install LazyCam and that is when you should. Not sure on the following, it's been some time now, but, if you install LC later, I think that the generated file
will not automaticly post into Mach3 ........as said it's been years.

BTW, there is LC Manual in Members Docs. Best you have a read of the manual and don't hack at it.
You may grow into something somewhat better later on. LC is what it is.
