General Mach Discussion / MACH VERSION R3.042.020 - MACH3TURN
« on: December 01, 2008, 09:34:17 PM »
HELP  ???
Just updated to R3.042.020 and seem to have a little problem with the graphics screen in MACH3turn, namely can't see the part
very well. This is also happening with another computer which has R3.042.18 on it. Never had this problem in any of the other
revisions.    a turn bug?   any suggestions?

SmoothStepper USB / SS & MACH V3.042.012
« on: October 06, 2008, 08:56:17 PM »
Things seem to be looking up with the latest Mach test version and SS plug-in.
Threading seems to be working well and they also took care of us users with the punny lathes.
So if your spindle slows down due to cutting, fear not, the z axis adjusts accordingly.
Did notice that the DRO didn't show the slow down in speed ( may be a Mach setting ).

The DRO rpm is working great. I use a single slotted disc, and before the readout wouldn't go over
200 RPM. Never made it wider and now with the latest version reads 1-1300 rpm within +- 2 rpm.

Good job.  :)

Now if you get the backlash working with the SS life will realy be good. ;D

I know, some people are never happy!

General Mach Discussion / ZOOM LIMITED IN MACH TURN SCREEN
« on: September 29, 2008, 08:06:25 PM »
I can zoom in on the toolpaths in Mach Turn ( vr3.041) and see the toolpaths very well. On another pC with R3.042.003 the zoom is limited.
It this the case for any of the other  test versions or do I need to load a different screen?? Or shoould i even go on to say 3.042.12?

« on: September 19, 2008, 05:48:25 PM »
Anybody usinig Dolphin Partmaster. Just curious if a specific processor is required for the lathe or will the one currently
posted on this site be adequate for all machines. I don't seem to have problems using the generated code in MACH but
 Just trying it out.

General Mach Discussion / MACH DEVELOPMENT VERSIONS
« on: September 19, 2008, 05:10:21 PM »
Just wondering which one to use. ???
Started with 3.041( threading didn't work otherwise seemed solid for my use)
*(but have a version in which threading works that satisfies my needs but still lists as 3.041)
3.042.003 ( have display problems / won't zoom in enough to see the cutting )
                  3.042.007 currently listed
3.042.008 was listed but removed ( downloaded it but never installed it )
Hm....... going  back to *3.041 unless 3.042.007 has some advantage.

What's the better of them all?

LazyCam (Beta) / UNRECOVERABLE ERROR MESSAGE
« on: September 15, 2008, 09:39:55 PM »
Just a few questions on Lazycam ( when using Turn): [ MACH R3.041, R3.042.003 - LazyCam V2.61, V3.00.2 ]

What happens in Lazcam to cause the " unrecoverable error in endgkdraw1 - notify Artsoft ...etc" to happen?

Are there any know combinations in particular or parameter settings inclusive of tool settings which would logicaly
trigger it?

Once it happens it can be a real pain to get lazcam to create profiles again without gettinig the error message.

Is there an easy way to "reset" lazycam so it works?

Would replacing the LCAM XML with one from when things were working well work?
