General Mach Discussion / tru circle
« on: March 09, 2012, 01:42:58 PM »
I have calibrated my axis for x & y axis to accuracy.  I am not getting a true circle.  Checked all components for play.
On a 6" dia. it is out about.060  for one dia. to 90 deg. on the other.
I cannot believe it is my cad/cam end.  What can I do to get a true circle. :(

General Mach Discussion / y axis
« on: June 03, 2009, 01:49:43 PM »
After several hours with Bobcad support it was determined that the code is valid.
What is happening is the cuts in the y axis are not consistant with the drawing or the code.
For some reason the rectangular shapes are not lining up with repect to the y axis.  They are offesting around an 1/8" or so from each other even though in the drawing and code they are aligned perfectly.

Is there something in the config. menus that need changed?

General Mach Discussion / motor hesitation
« on: August 28, 2008, 09:06:41 PM »
:-[I have set up my motors to run smoothly from the keyboard.  When calibrating steps per in the settings menu & also when running the g-codes from the mach3 directory that came with the program it seems that no matter what my accel & velocity settings are the motors on my x,y are hesitating for a split second on just about each revolution. Its a very jerky travel and even faults my geckos if I accelerate too fast.  Not sure what to do.
