General Mach Discussion / Youtube videos insertion
« on: April 14, 2013, 12:04:27 PM »
Hi all,
How do you link to a youtube video so that an image of the video accompanies the link for playing, and not just a url link.

Thanks for a quick answer.  I'm sure it must be simple.

PoKeys / Help! Problems with installation of Pokeys plugin.
« on: March 26, 2013, 07:20:52 AM »
I'm trying to install Pokeys onto a Vista PC running Mach3
The pictures show connection with the software, but in the plugin configuration, Mach isn't recognizing the Pokeys56U device.

I'd bet that I am just missing something simple, as I have never worked with pokeys before.
Could it be that I have the Mach3 folder in "C" named other than "Mach3"?  I've renamed it back to "Mach3" but maybe it is too late and Mach has to be reinstalled?

At this time I don't have a clue.  I've messed with different plugins ....now it is clear as mud.

I know this has been covered throughout mach's history as I remember reading about it, but I've searched for some time to find info on it.

What is the best solution to run two versions of Mach3(one at a time) while easily switching between the two?
I want to test a version while being able to go to my "proven' version(3.042.040),  alternately closing that version and open the latest version or some such also containing .040's XMLs and profiles and maybe some other custom files, plugins.

The two Mach3 folders in C can be renamed, but I'm at a loss if there is a way not to have to rename them each time to use one or the other.
And then there is the possible driver version conflicts.....

Thanks for any info...

PoKeys / Pokeys 65U and the Yaskawa Control panel/pendant
« on: March 12, 2013, 09:26:29 AM »
This thread is dedicated to interfacing and configuring CNC4PC's Pokeys 65U coreboard with the Yaskawa pendant and Mach3.

I have one of these Yaskawa panels and recently purchased the CNC4PC coreboard and will be learning how to most fully utilize the pendant's controls with the pokeys 65U.

The products can be seen here:

Hello,
I've been inactive lately using my CNC and have been reading up on the newfangled wizards which I have a license for.
I found the "latest" version(newfangled286.zip) in the first post of the topic: "Newfangled Solutions Software - Latest version".
It says the latest "edit" was in May of 2011.   I've also been reading about the Turn wizard .006 along with the drill wizard.

These latter wizards have been developed much later than the "last edit" date of the NFS286.  Are they now incorporated into the complete NFS286?

I'm just about ready to begin playing with Mach3 again and would appreciate what I need to download to have the complete package.

If I was able at this time I would just download 286 and find out.   Or maybe the complete NFS wizard collection is already incorporated into the latest Mach3 lockdown version?

Thanks,

John Meissner. (stopped by a wayside for too long  :()

General Mach Discussion / Motherboards-microATX that works
« on: July 03, 2011, 10:50:51 PM »
Hi all,
I'm setting up another machine computer and have tried an Asus A7v8x-MX motherboard that has unstable pulse, This is due I believe from the onboard video. I'm using an ATI AGP video card.

My questions are...  What MICRO ATX boards are you using that function well with Mach3?  Is there a section here that lists compatable boards of the MICRO ATX form?   I have heard that some boards have a jumper to eliminate onboard video interference.  Is this true?
The A7V8X-MX does not have this feature.

I don't need a new MICRO ATX board...just one that works

Thanks,

General Mach Discussion / Mach3.041 FRO Slider problem
« on: July 22, 2008, 10:01:56 AM »
Hi ALL,
I was wondering if this is normal for all instllations of Mach3.041.
If you look at the pictures, the digits above the slider are cut off on their bottom half.....whether at 100% or any increment less than.   I've tried to correct this with screen4 but have not been able to make it appear as Brett's screenshot under the "implementing 3 MPGs thread"  http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,7625.0.html .
This problem here may seem trivial, but it just bugs me a little too much to ignore... ???

Does someone know how to fix or replace the slider?    Is this just something in my computer?

Thanks ,
John M  (Bloy)
