Mach4 General Discussion / Dry Run Mode

Hello all,
 How can Mach4 be put into a "Dry Run" mode? So one could run Gcode and preview it on toolpath, without any physical machine movement. Is there any Lua code that could be put into a button to change motion device to the Simulation Device?

PoKeys / Pokeys57E,Mach4 External Push Button

Hello,
 Does anyone have an example of how to configure Mach4&Pokeys57E plugin for a External Push button or switch? Example: I have Pokeys pin 28 set as Digital Input, which is wired to my Cycle Start button. How do you configure plugin and Mach4 so Mach4 knows this input is Cycle Start?

Show"N"Tell ( Your Machines) / Lagun KneeMill Mach4 Pokeys Retrofit

Hello all,
 Got another project at work. Retrofitting an old Lagun knee mill that has done more sitting than running in its life. The old Westamp amplifiers were the main issue. Its got an old Autocon Dynapath Delta 20(anyone want it;) that will not come out of fault now. So boss opted to retrofit it. Iam using a Pokeys57E , CNCdrive servo drives and same unknown servos that are on machine. These servos where originally set up with an tachometer. I had a BEI encoder, so i made an adapter for it to bolt to servo and had to machine down housing height where the TACH was bolted. After some messing around with the settings of servo drive i got a test run on the Y axis....wow...never heard these motors run so quiet and smooth, with the old setup they used to have a super high pitch that would drive you nuts!

Mach4 General Discussion / Mach4 Install on XP

Trying to install Mach4 on a windows XP machine. After install, i try to launch Mach4 and get an error stating"Could Not Initialize the Core".

This is a 32bit windows Home XP that i just did a fresh install of OS today.
I havent been keeping up with the development of Mach4 (starting a new chapter) , so does Mach4 Ver 2 work on XP?

Mach4 General Discussion / Keyboard Plugin

Hello,
 Got Mach4 now and am starting to mess around with it. The power of customizing a screen is very nice.
 In the Keyboard Plugin can the axis jog buttons  i assigned, have the Mode ( Continuous or Incremental) controlled by what Mode is selected in the Jogging Tab?

Newfangled Mill Wizard / Rectangle Pocket & Mill Rectangle

Hello Ron,
 I tried doing a Rectangle Pocket .......
2.5" long by .5" wide using a .375" tool, but i got a pop up window while in the Pocket config window that states "Width must be larger than tool times 2."

So i tried a Mill Rectangle and the tool path shows lead in and out going beyond the width of rectangle.Look at screen shot.

Is this on the list or?

Brains Development / Turning ON/OFF Spindle when Gcode is Running

Hello all,
 I have been using a Brain to control my Automation Direct GS2 VFD thruw modbus. What i would like to add to control of spindle is a way to shut off spindle while a Gcode is running. Can this be done?
Attached is current brain.

Any help is much appreciated.

Newfangled Mill Wizard / PC ID not showing

Trying to purchase a license, but when i open the About window in the Mill Wizard, the PC ID area is blank.
Any idea why?

Machscreen Screen Designer / Crash when Setting Global of button

Hello,
 When i set a Trans image button to Global/Yes then set Locked for mouse move within the tree, MachScreen crashes. Not a problem as i realize this is not the way to set Global and Locked for Mouse, only thought you might want to know.
