Does it do the same thing if you select incremental for arcs?

A couple of items on the front page (a DRO and a label) had done what is a common trick in Scream4 and jumped position of their own free will.

They happened to jump so far that you would not see them when editing.  They were only small items so you would not notice they had gone missing.

When "auto screen enlarge" is active, it sees these errant items as legitimate part of the screen, and sizes things so that they can be seen.

Hence the picture that RJ posted.  Look bottom right hand corner for spindle rpm DRO.

I just put them back in their place and saved the changes.

Scream4 is not so bad.  Used with a large monitor most of the quirks disappear.  I have little experience with Screen3 and use XP.

"......but it is getting very frustrating to work with screen4........."

Join the club.  How many users have said the same thing.   ;D ;D ;D

Scream4 is certainly a bit idiosyncratic but it will work once you get used to it.

The best thing is to use a larger monitor so that no scroll bars are needed.  That will save 90% of the frustrations.

Some have worked around that by using a mouse with no scroll wheel.

Sounds like you should watch the tutorial video too.  It is basic but will show you how to select buttons without the screen changing pages.

There was a program being developed called Jetcam, but the developer has, if not dropped it, at least set it aside for now.

And then there is the option of developing flash screens but I have no experience with that.  Look for posts by "zealous"

Aha that's the our much loved screen editing program playing funny b%#ggers.  They don't call it Scream4 for nothing.

Fancy our Mach guru getting caught with that old chestnut.   ;D ;D ;D

I have taken the liberty of repairing the errant objects and posted the set file.  Scott is probably tucked up in bed.  :)

So is this version available to us users who may not be "in the club"  ;D

Would it happen to be in the dev version on the site?

I 'd love to have a look.  ;)

"I want to turn it on so that it continues to rotate at a constant speed while Mach3 runs my program (g-code)."

How do you do that if it is set as A axis?

I am not a Vista user but is there a compatibility option like there is in XP?

In XP it is found in the properties dialogue box.

Be well worth watching the tutorial video called  "Homing, Limits and Offsets"

Videos can be found under "Support" menu at the top of this page.

Get familiar with this page,  http://www.machsupport.com/MachCustomizeWiki/index.php?title=OEM_Buttons

Also looking at other screens will reveal OEM codes that are more obscure sometimes.

OEM button 216 is the one you are looking for.
