In the system I found there is a accumulating positive shift after each axis movement that doesn‘t show up on the DRO‘s.

Does this lost position happen on every axis or only one?  Logic says that it must be one of two things.

First is mechanical slippage.  Somewhere between the stepper shaft and the axis.

Second is lost steps on the stepper.  This can be mechanical load being beyond the steppers capability.  Maybe a tight spot.  Maybe acceleration and or rapid too fast.

What stepper motors, driver, power supply are you using?  Are you using a break out board?

After ruling out mechanical issues cut the acceleration and rapid speed in half and see if that makes a difference.

Unfortunately I have had to abandon this video plugin and go back to the one provided with Mach.

I really liked the small size window and especially the fine cross hair line.  Mach's is a larger window and about three pixel wide cross hair line. Too fat.

However Klaus's dominates the USB.  I jog by keyboard and Shuttle Pro and the plugin makes them both erratic and unpredictable for small movements.

I don't suppose anything can be done to fix that?

General Mach Discussion / Re: Driver Test Assumptions

I have seen this drivertest before.  Looks like a piano keyboard.

I had a thread on it a couple of years ago and did a search but did not find it.

Look in bios for "C1E Enhanced Halt State"  mother board makers call it by different names.

Disabling it made a huge difference.  It is some sort of power saving feature for certain CPUs.

Hi Greg,

I found the bug and corrected it. The new version is V1.14b

Thanks.   :D

Did you see there is a new kid on the block.

MachScreen,    http://www.kd-dietz.de/index_eng.htm

Still some work to be done but the most promising thing we have seen for a while.

Art, the author of Mach3 is quite clear that the DROs  show only the pulses that have gone out the printer port.

If the DRO shows it has moved one unit then the PP has put out one unit worth of pulses. You will find that the problem lies somewhere after that fact.

Most likely mechanical but may be electrical.  Start by halving the rapid speed and acceleration rate and retest.

Open the standard Mach 1024 screenset,  delete the background image, lasso select any group of screen objects, nudge them as a group with the arrow keys.

This will crash the program 100% for me.

Delete the background because I can not lasso select with it there.  My screens do not have a large background image so I can lasso select more easily.

EDIT:  My terminology is probably incorrect.  I mean dragging a selection box with the mouse.

As far as the window resize we are half way there.

Now the cross hairs remain static with the camera but we can still only reduce size from one direction.

As shown in the pics.  One at full screen and the other at reduced window.

Can I simply delete those entries from the rgistry and  Webcam will reenter them?

Klaus

I have a situation where a setting has become "stuck"

Tried reinstalling the plugin but that did not fix it.

Where does it store its setup info between sessions.

Looked in the XML and it does not appear to be there.
