When I go to "Frame size" and adjust the line width to 2 and click OK,

I get an error message saying "Please enter bitmap extensions"

2). I was checking to see if you can look at or edit, "png" style LEDs, when I cliicked on one to look at it, the Screen designer Crashes all together and exits after
clicking on the error dialogs.

That is far as I got with this Screen designer so far........   I was gonna then Cheack to make sure that the "Dual" state Buttons and "Dual" state LEDs.

All my button graphics are png.  They all seem to work no worries.

I use a lot of two state LEDs and they all work too.

Have not got it to crash since the nudge problem was fixed.

Greg

EDIT:  I also added new pages.  Still won't crash.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Homing Slave Estops system
« on: April 15, 2009, 07:55:33 AM »
If you have a Y home switch and a A home switch then I presume you want to "square the axis" when homing.

If you "home slave with master" then you might as well ditch the A home switch. It will be ignored.

If it were me I would disable the limit switches until you get the homing happening as expected.  Deal with one thing at a time.

Y needs to home first then A, so in your Ref ALL button make sure "DoButton(23)" is happening before "DoButton (25)"

Sequence is, Y homes and A travels along with it,  then A homes all on its own as Y stays still.

what version of Mach3 are using   Version R3.042.026

what is your processor speed   Core2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz

how much RAM do you have   1GB ram

what display adapter and how much Video-RAM are you using  NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS    512MB Ram

Tried V 1.08 and it is the same but I think I am getting used to it.  :)   It is hard to quantify or explain the effect.

The best way to see it is drag the video widow around the screen and see the jerkiness.  As opposed to dragging the mach video window around which is smooth.

Also when pressing an onscreen button (zeroing a DRO for example) you can see a very slight delay that is not there at other times.   I am sorry I can not be more concise.

Really do like your video better, as there is no delay to showing the axis movemment on camera.  S'pose that is the price you pay.  :D

While you are at it you might as well do the same for the video plugin.  For us ignorant monolingual users.  ;D

No it is still the same with the V1.07

Another clue you may be able to see without a machine is when dragging the video window by the
mouse (USB) to position it on screen the motion is visually jerky.

Not much, but noticeable compared to dragging the Mach standard video window.

If it would help I could make a small movie of the jogging with and without video plugin running.

It is like the keyboard only gets to send info every half second.

If I tap an arrow key to jog, sometimes nothing happens, on release of the key jogging will sometimes continue for half a second.

This only happens when your video plugin is running.

Does not happen when the standard Mach video is running.

Yeah that guy with the Mechmate is a jerk.  He doesn't like anyone who isn't a purest.

Gerald has designed a CNC router capable of processing full sheet material in a commercial environment that can be built quite economically.

He has provided full construction drawings for FREE

Out of his own pocket he has funded and provided a forum to assist any who wish to build his design for FREE

He tirelessly assists and advises anybody from anywhere to build his design for FREE

I for one think that he is entitled to limit his  forum to the subject that he provides it for.

There are many general type forums like CNCzone, Artsoft etc.

Gerald has demonstrated over a number of years to be the most generous person that I have seen by his actions.

I tell my kids that when they say something derogatory about someone, that it always says more about the speaker than the subject.

do you have your jogging devices on the same USB-hub as the camera?

what kind of USB are using USB 1 or USB 2?

I have four USB 2.0 on the Motheboard and a PCI card with four USB2.0.

Keyboard, mouse, shuttle pro and USB stick when needed, on the MoB

Camera all on it's own on the PCI card

can you adjust the bandwidth for the camera? When you start settings, you probably get a dialog where you can set many parameters within the camera driver, at least  mine does.

Yes I can adjust the bandwidth on the settings, which brings up a a dialogue box that belongs to the camera driver I presume.

It was on auto (6) and I took it down to 1

If it made any difference at all, I could not tell.

Hi, I tried the suggestions and still have the problem. The accumulating positive shift occurs on all axis.

OK cutting acceleration and rapid in half did not fix it then cut it in half again and retry.

You did not say what drivers etc you are using.  The drivers may need a longer pulse.

Also try "Sherline mode"
