Post the script you are using and we will have a look at it.

EGREGIOUS!!!..........  Wow I had to go look that one up Ray. ;D .....Sounds pretty bad.  ;D

Right now, it's FAR more likely a bug in the probing macros being used....

The macro that Sam is using has my fingerprints all over it.   Better let us know what the disaster is.  ;D

And I don't think I would probe at 50ipm either.  :)

General Mach Discussion / Re: Metric and Imperial Auto Tool Zero Plate

OK well if you are calling your macro from the macro folder then each profile has it's own macro folder.

Put the appropriate inch/metric macro in the corresponding folder.

Yes I am sure you could do that.

Or have a G21 or G20  call in the macro and then have it reset units at the end.

However a screenset  file is only about 20 or so kbs

So you could just save another version and call it "Blue Metric" or "Blue Inch"

Lots of ways to skin a cat.  :)

I created 2 profiles one for metric and one imperial. Both work fine except for the custom auto-tool-zero script.

If using a profile for metric and a profile for imperial why not just have a screen set for each.

So metric profile uses the metric screenset and the imperial profile uses the imperial screenset.

A Button Script, if that is what you are using, lives in the screenset.

Looks like I fixed it.

Uninstalled and did a clean out and fresh install.

Same Version R3.042.027 as before.

Put back my same XML so that was not causing it.

Must have been something not right in the program.

Anyway see the pic.  It now looks fairly much like it should.

No that makes no improvement for me.

I did another toolpath to show it a little better.

As is shown iin NCplot (white wireframe) is correct and in proportion.   In Mach it is otherwise.

An interesting anomaly if you can see it is in the side view in Mach.

Look carefully and you can see the cuts paths are layed on their side.  I don't know how better to explain it.

The basic problem is it should look exactly like the NCplot view but it doesn't and I don't know how to make it do so.

I am concluding, rightly or wrongly, that this is a bug in the Mach toolpath view.

I would love to be shown that I am just doing something silly.  ;D

Greg, the Diameter DRO is actually the Radius, I think. Try entering the radius.

Gerry

Yes I have tried all sorts of numbers in the "Rotation Diameters"

I can make the distortion worse but can not make it appear anything near correct.
