Modbus / Re: Hitachi X200
« on: January 06, 2011, 05:58:00 AM »
Got my RS485 converter.   Set all the options for modbus in the Hitachi.  Think they are right.  ???

I have communication...but,

Reading and writing to coils looks to work.

Reading Holding Registers also seems to work.

Writing to Holding Registers just gives a timeout.

So I think this is why I can not get the spindle to run.    Can turn on the run and CW signals but can not set the frequency (RPM) so it does not run.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

PoKeys / Re: VERY Minor bug fix on the PoKeys.set coming out.....

Downloaded the new plugin twice and it contains only the following two files,

ReadMe.txt.txt   (20kb)

Mach_PK_plug_10.6.4.sln   (1kb)

Someone missed something. :)

And can we PLEASE have the files without an installer.

Greg

EDIT:  Looks like someone has read this post.   Now Ver. 10.6.3 is back as the download, even though the download link still says Ver 10.6.4

Scott

Thanks for your work on the plugin.

Your screenset has some incorrect labelling on it, on the pokeys page.

Ana UDRO range is 2001-2004

Should read,

Ana UDRO range is 2201-2204

And it would seem that any changes to the UDRO # base range, in the plugin, will not stick.

Constantly reverts to 2201.  It is probably meant to.  If so, why have an editable field?

Are you sure it is not just that you have CV turned off or not set correctly?

Just for the record I have spent some time going through the steps Darren outlined in post 20, and can not get it show Darren's issue.

I need to ask a embarrassingly basic question.  :D

What cable do I need to connect modbus to the SJ200 ?

Hitachi manual says, pin 5 send/receive data positive, and pin 6 send/receive data negative on the RJ45.

But no info on the computer end. Probably because it is so obvious that any fool would know.   ;D

Any one help?
