Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Single block mode
« on: March 02, 2017, 04:55:43 PM »
On a real controller you enter single block mode the press cycle start to jump through the lines of code. I just assumed that mach4 would work in a similar fashion. It seems futile to have to hit single block, then cyclestop, then turn off then on single block then cyclestop, then repeat. I really wish mach4 had better documentation as to the functionality and how it works. It seems very counter productive to have to figure out how to operate the control and try to get things accomplished. Yes there are a lot of things that work as they should and expected, but there are also a lot of functionality that appears to be there but is tremendously lacking.

Mach4 General Discussion / Single block mode
« on: March 01, 2017, 02:04:33 PM »
Can someone tell me if the single block mode in mach4 works? I have tried to use it three times now, and each time it will start but when I hit cycle start to initiate the next line. Nothing happens. The program will not progress to the next line. Is it operator error or does this feature not work?

Mach4 General Discussion / M6 Script not working
« on: January 27, 2017, 10:43:16 AM »
I am having an issue getting the M6 tool change to work when a "Tx M6" is called in my program. When my program calls for a tool change the code skips the tool change and moves on to the next operation using the same tool. Does anybody know what could be causing this? I have changed the m6() to M6() and that didn't do anything. The script is in the proper folder. I'm at a loss as to why this won't work. I have to enable M1 optional stop in order to make the machine allow for me to change my tools but this is not ideal for me. Any help would be appreciated.

I've tried several versions of mach4 and I can't get the wear or control option to work. I can only get the in computer option to work. If I let the cam software choose the tool path everything work but when I output a g41/42 mach4 does not run.

Any help please??

Can someone help me understand why I'm getting this error message in mach4? I'm trying to machine an outter contour, using the wear option in fusion 360. And as soon as I get to this option in mach4 it throws the above error.

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach4 probing mode
« on: July 01, 2016, 09:43:20 PM »
I'm just asking wouldn't it make more sense to do probing like haas? You place the probe close to the edge or corner or whatever and tell the system approximately where the probe is and hit cycle start then the probe will move what I believe to be incrementally and zero when it hits the area to be probed.
