I think I found another bug also. When you place in feedhold while doing an -X and/or -Y move, hit start after it stops, now the -X and/or-Y move feeds at next z rate. ( I have edited former post with GCode file to explain better.) Feed hold affects a -X and/or -Y moves, not +. Single block effects -Z moves, not +. I just tried it with version 2.0.015.

One nice thing about all of this is I tried something else and I like it a lot. This is a work around but may be better than the original way I was doing things.
In general config. you can check program safety lockout and set up input 1 in ports and pins. This acts like a pause. Mach pauses as long as the input is made. Once released, Mach goes back to doing what it is good at, running. You don't even have to hit the start button again. I plan on setting this up as a latched switch. Push-Push.   I like this a lot. I will also tie this into my E-Stop circuit.

I downloaded Mark's xml. and all looks OK here. It's really hard to tell for sure as I'm simulating on office PC.

   I can't remember. Did you say the led in diagnostics screen, output 2 led is flashing when you command coolant? It does here. Also on the run screen. I think I found another bug also. Mark,
    Post your xml. file, screen set, and Keygrabber file if you use one. How do you turn your coolant on and off? Do you have an external button or are you just clicking on your Mach screen, or Gcode?

If you would, save them as something like Markset1024 etc.

    I have no idea how to go about doing this yet. I'm an idiot when it comes to macros, Vb code, etc. but I think that would be one nice feature. I would love to see something like that for feed and speed.

Where are you losing the signal? Do you have any enables on the control side that are not made? Can you post some screen shots of your settings? Are you using a straight through 25 pin cable? Not a printer cable. Did you install drivers when you downloaded mach?

Another thing I think is neat is an Ipac keystroke emulator. It hooks either to a ps2 connection or a USB port. With the Ipac 4 you can add 56 inputs. You set it up in Keygrabber.

Another thing. We were talking about metric and imperial profiles of Mach. I don't know why you couldn't do this. I don't know how many profiles you can have though. A profile for one specific job. Not my first choice but I think doable.

1. You could put your notes in the gcode. If you put it in parenthesis () Mach will not read it as code. Example (Small stand plate).
2. You could assign dedicated tools to the job and save them in tool offsets, you have 253 of these. Same is true for the work offsets. I think there are 252 of these. I know a lot of people don't like these but I love dowel pins. In conjunction with dedicated fixtures and tools, they make for some really fast setups.
