Look in the API doc, API Reference by Category, Mach Signals and I think you will find what you're looking for.

General Mach Discussion / Re: How to slow down on rounded corners?

Yup, all very good advice so far.

If running servos could possibly be servo tuning too. You will want to read the manufacturers docs to help with that (if that is the case). Most drive manufacturers will remote in a tune them for you too.

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Axis directions
« on: December 22, 2017, 09:28:52 AM »
Front left corner is a term that is relative to your location and perspective and has very little meaning when discussing axis following the right hand rule (which is the standard convention that allows the same Gcode file to be ran on any properly configured CNC (with the same abilities of course) to produce the exact same part). If the axis follow the right hand rule it will do so from any viewing position or machine orientation. If it is right it will be right if you spin the machine or mount it to the wall or upside down to the ceiling. What is important is that the axis travel in the correct direction relative to one another. You can reference (establish machine 0) for any or all axis in the positive or negative direction or anywhere in between (even in the middle). That is totally preference and the configuration settings allow for any of them. The following link may help.

Bitdefender is blocking it. One of many reasons anti-virus are not recommended to be run with Mach (any version).

You will need to check (and tweak as necessary) your firewall, advanced threat defense and safe files settings in Bitdefender.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Hall of shame

I agree !00% that different cultures do things differently. Take your example of the machine you (Dreammaker) bought. If it were me I would have sent a copy of the demo (or a link to get it from NewFangled) and a profile for the machine I built (particularly since I am the only one that possibly could at this point) and instructions on how to install the profile. Actually, I would build an installer that does it all for you. Then the machine would actually work and work right. Also I wouldn't be taking advantage of the software developer, their support system or those buying my product. Then all the end user would need to do is buy a legitimate license and they could be running production. Imagine that. They could provide more for less and do so while not being thieves of software or misleading those buying their product.

I also would not supply software with viruses and spyware (which most pirated software includes). As a manufacturer why in the world would you supply something to the end user that would be far far better off had you not supplied it? Well, it is more than obvious the desired result is not value for money.

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: List of Mach4 error codes

Ok, thanks Daz,

Yup, makes perfect sense and a very clear way of explaining it. It's that word "Global" that's a little misleading I think. Maybe we should call it Regionally Global.  ;D

OK, I can see that. Thanks Daz.

What I was asking was this........

If your example code was in a macro (say m200) would it run if loading the error check module was only done once in the screen load script and not done in the load modules macro?

It was explained to me that adding the mcLoadModules macro to the macros folder would load the modules added by it into the chunk that all of the macros become, mcLua.mcc. making the contents of those loaded modules available to all macros in the macros folder. I took what you were saying to mean that if a module was loaded in the screen load script then loading it in the load modules macro would not be necessary because the contents of it would already be available to macros. If that is the case then something definitely changed.

I can test it (and I will) faster than ask about it once I'm back in the shop.

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: mc.mcAxisSetMachinePos
« on: December 10, 2017, 10:53:25 PM »
Hmmmmm, One idea might be to set homing to "home in place", move to position then reference.

I'm torn on this one. Really the only thing that should ever adjust Machine position is referencing the machine. Can't imagine a scenario that anything else would be acceptable....... but trying to. Since machine position is just that, physical position of axis in relation to machine (at one end, in the middle, one end plus or minus some distance (home off distance)). I can't imagine why it would need to be dynamically altered, that is what fixture offsets, etc. are for.  Machine position is what all other offsets work off of. If it isn't consistent nothing else will be either.
