Gary, I think it may be your motor tuning. Try this, tune all your motors to the slowest axis. Steps per will stay the same, but turn your accel and vel. down to match slowest axis and see if it smooths out. It will be slower of course but not so much on this file. In a blended move, one axis will limit the others speed.

Thanks Gary, nice looking machine. Any chance you could post a video of it running the code that is giveing you problems? That would help to trouble shoot a lot. Is the path it is running true and just sounds bad or is the z getting out of place?

Jeff, even though you have no home switches, try to ref all once and see if that helps. If no homes are enabled, should just zero the dros where it is and give you the green ref led around the axis buttons beside DROs. Interested in your findings.

G61 places your machine in Exact stop mode and G64 places it in CV mode.  There is a G64 in your code which is good.  The code is tiny segments. Have you changed any of the CV settings from dafault Mach?

This should be interesting! That is going to be tuff i would think with a rotary tool. I have heard of freezing rubber with a crogenic procedure so it can be machined and hold a nice finsh. I'll ask around too, but this is a tuff one I think. Hopefully someone else will have a quick fix. Have you asked different bit suppliers for suggestions?

Are you running straight off the Parallel port? Are you running in Exact stop or Constant velocity more? Can you post your code?
