MDI is single line only.  If you will go to edit Gcode it will open as a text or notepad and you can copy and paste all you want.

The size wire all depends on the current the circuit they are hooked to has to handle.  If your just wiring the limits to a BOB or parallel port, and they aren't carry any load, which I don't think they will, they can be tiny, 24-22 gauge and probably much smaller.  I try to use 16 Ga but some connectors aren't big enough for it.  It would be best to wire them with shielded cables.  Good shielded cat 5 or cat would probably work but I have no idea how its wired so take that with a grain of salt.  Good your making progress.

Now, that is just neat.  I dont wear jewelry of any kind but I would probably wear that one out.   Do you have a link to order these  and repair bushings/bearings for the thumb wheel ?

Go to Config, ports and pins, input signals and see what the active state of estop is.  If you change it, can you reset mach?

You can not diasblae estop.

First, you have to do a lot of testing to find out if that will actually save any power.  It may well cost you more.  Often it uses less power to leave a motor running all the time than to cycle it often.  It takes a lot more power to get something moving than it does to keep it moving.  I have heard that generally air compressors that start 8 times or more a day would use less power to just leave them running all day and use an unloader valve to regulate the pressure.  What your wanting will be a piece of cake for some of the macro gurus though.
