N is used to tell you it is a line number.  You can load code into Mach and double left click the g code display to add line numbers.  Double click again to remove them.  Most post processors can also be set to add line numbers to your code.  Helps to trouble shoot when you can say at line number **** it mess's up.

I think a Brain would be better Kenneth.  But, your getting user leds and setting user leds based on those............. why not just put the user leds on the screen if they are showing movement?  I think I know what your wanting to do.  I did it once with a brain compareing dros for axis i think.  If the dros were changeing the leds would light.

No way for me to test here but are you sure your axis are following standard convention?  If your code is correct the display will be correct no matter if the machine is moveing the right direction or not.  At least in XYZ I know this to be true.  Direction is all in perspective.  Looking form one end a CW movement would be CCW viewed from the other end which I know you know, just wondering if it is following standard convention.  Also, if the center of the diameter is 0 in Z a negetive move would of course be going deeper than the center as would a negative Y or X (depending on orentation) if their 0 is center of the diameter.

Hello Joe, Welcome to the forum!

Your steps per sounds right to me when I do the math if your native units are set to MM.

Set the step and direction pulse width to 15.  You may also want to try to enable Sherline 1/2 step mode in config., ports and pins, port set up page.

Get all other motion nailed down first.  Make sure you are moveing the right distances and not skiping of looseing steps and then we will look at the MPG.
