General Mach Discussion / D6000E spindle speed
« on: April 06, 2010, 12:53:25 PM »
Hi
Problems with spindle control
Set at 500 rpm but when running it shows a true speed of -80 (minus) It is running at 500 on Tacho
Set at 1000 "    "    "   "   "    "    "     "     "     "      "  -97   "    "  It is running at 733 on Tacho
The only speed which is stable is 500
Anyone know what I am doing wrong

General Mach Discussion / Mill spindle safety switch
« on: January 04, 2009, 11:07:57 AM »
Hi
I am making a new spindle with a Dandrea quick change system for my Wabeco CC-F1410 LF high speed spindle mill.
At the same time I will fit a manual spindle lock . The problem I have is finding some way to stop the spindle from switching on when the lock is in place.
I need to know where to wire the micro switch which will be fitted to the lock pin so the spindle will not be able to power up either in cnc or manual mode.
Maybe disable the cnc mode altogether.

The machines were bought new from Wabeco about 2 months ago
We had problems for about 6 weeks with the XML files but that got fixed last week

On the Wabeco machine controll there is a 3 position switch
Left for CNC middle for OFF right for Manual.
To get the machine to work in manual you have to move the switch from off to cnc and back to off and then to manual
It wont work just switching directly to manual from the off position
Takes a long time switching back and forth tget it to work
