Hi,
Hopefully someone can answer this for me.
I have my jog speed set at 100% which is about 200 ipm. After I make any moves
and want to go to "Z" or home the machine will only go about 50 ipm
Now, that being said, I have the setting to 100% in homing and limits.
Am I missing something or is the software just setup that way?
Please help,
Thanks,
Brian

ShuttleXpress -  ShuttlePRO - or Griffin Powermate?

Please let me hear your opinion.
Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Is there a simple 3-D program I can use
« on: April 09, 2008, 05:24:48 PM »
Hi all,
I am in need of a 3-D program that is easy to use to generate G-code for simple parts.
Is there a program like that out there that is compatible with Mach 3, and that will work well
with a milling machine to cut top profiles of parts?
Please let me know
Thanks,
Brian

Hi all,
I have a  breakout board from cnc4pc and need a wiring diagram for it.
this guy Arturo Duncan that owns the company never gets back to me.
It's a c10 board and its revision #3
I need to use this one until PMDX gets the one built that supports the new
gecko 203v drives that are going on the machine.
Thanks,
Brian

General Mach Discussion / Toroidal transformers vs standard IE
« on: March 27, 2008, 05:26:51 PM »
Has any one found a benefit from using either a Toroidal transformer or standard IE?

Just building another system, larger than the last.
I'm using 3 Pacsci Sigmax E33 65vdc 5.2-5.4 amp motors.
But I have a work area of only 10" x 8"
and mainly milling aluminium.
Drives are the new Gecko G203V.
cap. 80v  7amp

Thanks,
Brian

Has anyone used a wood router or a larger dremmel as an engraver
I want to setup a 4th axis to do some small engraving in either aluminium or mild steel
using a single lip cutter in a dremmel or a larger wood carving router.
Just looking for anyone who has done it with either of those and I would
like to know what the end result was.
? Are they ridged enough? do they leave a good finish?
Are they hard on cutters due to the slop in the bearings?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Brian
