load mach3 on the new machine and with mach3 off, copy over the xml file that has the same name as the one you used on the old machine. (eg, mach3mill.xml) Also copy over any macros or tool data you had saved. When you start mach3 the settings will be correct for the old machine.
For the licence, just copy it into the new mach3 directory.

Hi guys, bit of an odd one here. I'm trying to devise a way of controlling up to 8 spindles at the same time, and have a lot of on off i/o available as well. Can Mach convert any of the existing axis controls to a spindle, or can it be done with Modbus or pokeys.

if the stepper makes a single move when you change direction, you may have your step and directions pins the wrong way round.

i use 043.022 and i get random jittering at the start of the code on the first pass. I put this down to the vfd so i put a 5 second pause in the first line and this removes the jittering on the first pass, and completes the threading without any problems at all.

definately go with the single slot, mach only needs the one. Set the ratio to one.
