i set my % value at 30% which makes it 50% faster with no adverse effects. Or as overloaded said, jog to near the home position then home.

with 2000 in steps per, try 80 in velocity and 125 in acc.

take the toolplate off and there should be a cover, underneath it is the ratchet/pawl.

have you tried it with the acceleration at a lower setting.
