if you look at the headers you'll see where you need to interface, x y and z step and direction are there and limits, also the 0-10 and enable for the gemini.

General Mach Discussion / scrolling the view window causes hangups.
« on: March 08, 2014, 08:55:13 AM »
I've just ran a job which is fairly large and feeds are pretty quick, and if i scroll or pan the view window the program goes bonkers loosing position and halting, after a few seconds it resumes but has lost position.

The comp is a p4 with 2ghx proc and 1gb of memory.

Has anyone come accross this before, and is there a cure.

I'm putting it down to the speed of the comp, any suggestions.

As the is issue still arises after Mach shut down, I suspect it is something to do with the PC itself, I have uninstalled all unused programmes, and there is nothing else connected to the pc.

I'm going to work through the XP optimization guide a little later.

Not sure whether the SP3 is installed, can this have an affect also?

i've seen a comp with sp3 and edgecam cause havoc on a router, i didn't have the opportunity to test which was causing the problem.

Have you installed windows service pack 3

check you don't have any other outputs set to the same pin as the spindle
