I stumbled on this thread late. Really impressive work. Looking forward to seeing it in action.

"Insert Add On" function is very useful. The file load dialog box displayed the *.sset files by default and instead of file "Open" button it displays a file "Save" button. Maybe that why I shied away from it when I tried it earlier. I used to do this thing with screentweak (i.e. copy screens from one screen set to other) and then cut and paste in Machscreen. This can be done in Machscreen too, that's cool.

Hi Klaus, I uninstalled the old one, there was only one version on the pc. I downloaded the latest version from your website and now the "save" and "save as" lets you have spaces between ie: "ZX Mill.set"

I'm still getting the error box come up though.

I am in no rush to solve this, if no-one else has picked this up then it must be a quirk in my setup.
The set file I am working with below. All recent work on the settings page, just a few buttons with embedded code.

As I attached the file, It just occured that my Mach folder i'm using is called Mach3New as I have 2 versions of mach on the pc.
Would it be the cause?

Cheers
John

I also have the same problem on my desktop pc, but not on my laptop. The desktop pc's hd partition is fat32 and the laptop's is NTFS. But since it doesn't hurt much so I didn't bother to report it.

New ver. 1.38f has sped up things further. I can load the 1024.set file in this version instantaneously. With 1.38e it used to take a good 20 seconds or so on my laptop pc. Good job Klaus. Another item on the wish list is to open two or more files together and cut and paste from one to other. Or is this possible with with the current versions and I am too dumb to know it?  ;D

I have used both Screen4 and Machscreen for detailed screen designs. Since I switched over to Machscreen my productivity has increase 3 folds. My vote goes to Machscreen.

VB and the development of wizards / Lock Rapid FRO to Feed FRO

Is there an OEMButton to toggle the "Lock Rapid FRO to Feed FRO" option in the General Config section. I need to put it on the screen instead of going through the menus to turn it on or off.

Recently converted this screenset to bilingual. It's now switchable between English and Urdu screens for ease of use of local operators in Pakistan. Here are sample screens.

You just have to go to the config/ports and pins screen of Mach3 and configure your spindle setup. This button's function is the same as in the original 1024 screen set.

Here is updated screen file with the x/2, y/2 and z/2 buttons enabled. This screen is designed for a 12" LCD monitor which won't go above 800x600 resolution. This screen is viewed best with the autohide taskbar enabled in windows and hiding the menu bar in Mach3. For hiding the menubar in Mach3 there are two transparent buttons on the first screen (Setup Alt-1). Just hover your mouse to the right of the diagnostics button and click to turn the menus off. To turn them back on hover it just above and right of the diagnostics button and click. Hotkeys for hiding and unhiding the menus are Ctrl-Alt-N and Ctrl-Alt-M. Uncheck the "Auto Screen Enlarge" and "Boxed DRO's and Graphics" in the General Config Section of Mach3.

Thanks for appreciating my efforts. I have yet to program the button x/2, y/2 and z/2. What they'll do is make the x, y and z dro to half of their value. This function is very handy for centering a workpiece. You touch on one side, zero that dro, touch the other side and hit the 1/2 button. You get the center for that axis. I'll put codes for these buttons and upload the screen files again.
