Show"N"Tell ( Your Machines) / Re: CNC Pipe Bender

Here's another CNC pipe bender I have developed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLw6qhW3wlA

It is 7 Axis servo motor controlled, all electric model. No pneumatic or hydraulic power at all. It can bend pipes over 3 different dies at a time and can handle pipes from 4 to 8 mm in dia and up to 2 meters in length. Programs are made through a wizard which takes L,R,A and tool no. data and converts them to G-codes.

Thanks a lot for the charts. These will be of great help for setting up my machine. The hardware is all ready and I'll start working on the retrofit from next week. I'll post photos as it progresses.

Hi,

It's a very useful plugin you've programmed here. I've been playing with it on my laptop and love it's functionality. I'll try it on my machines tomorrow.

Is it possible to map the joysticks to a userdro like pokeys does. I am not sure how much effort is required for this. This plugin stuff is all mumbo jumbo to me. If it can be done then it will be very useful for inputting analog values into Mach.

BTW: do you, or anyone else want to help with the "grunt" screen work?

Scott,

I'll be happy to offer my help. But I can't promise speedy feedback. My schedule is rather busy these days.

Klaus,

Yes it does what it is supposed to do except that the decimal code does not match with the ASCII code for that character. ASCII codes for the alphabet keys are the same as the hotkey direct keys. Another minor issue is that it doesn't save the "selectable" yes or no values for bitmaps. I mark a background bitmap as selectable/no, save the file, exit and run the Machscreen again. The bitmap appears as selectable/yes again.

PoKeys / Re: Pokeys Pendant - My first try!

Benny,

I thought brass wire cuts give better cutting speeds than the Mo wire. I guess if you use pressurized deionized water in your nozzles then you'll get higher speeds. With my machine a fixed length of wire is wound on a cylinder which rolls forward and back until the wire becomes thin and then breaks. Then we wind another piece of wire on it. A roll of 2000 meters lasts almost a month my machines which normally run 12 hours a day. I think the spark current parameters for Mo wire machines won't be good for brass wire, otherwise I would have shared my machine's parameters with you. Normally average cutting current on my wires are 2 to 2.5 Amperes.

Klaus,

Thanks a lot for the quick response. V1.51a now accepts the ` key when I double click on the hotkey vlaue place. But the hotkey direct option is showing me decimal code of 192. The ASCII code for ` is 96.

Klaus,

It is 96. When I enter it, I get "numpad 0" as hotkey.

OK, I found the option "lock for selection" from the video. But the hotkey issue is still there.

Machscreen Screen Designer / Re: 4 buttons, 4 part programs

Matt,

There are many ways to do it. What I'll do is design a screen with 4 buttons and assign macros to those buttons which carry the programs code. To take Mach out of the E-stop state when it starts, you can make a macro and put it in the initialization line on "config/general config" menu or program it in the macropump. Otherwise you can put a Reset button on your screen too.
