Here the one I'm using with mastercamX, it only does 3 axis though and I've limited the feed to 800mm/min.

Edit (6/12/06) changed the work offsets in the post to work in Mach, will now do G59P7 etc.

Sorry I can't attach the post as .pst file so you will have to change the .txt to .pst after downloading

Thankyou very much Brian

Glenn they really are easier than trying to use a mouse and there a lot quicker too, I picked my touch screen up for £36 on Ebay, it's old and only has a 12" screen with poor colours but I like it. Like Hoods mines a capacitive type, not had any trouble with it but have noticed it won't work if you don't use your fingers i.e. nothing happens if you press on the screen with a piece of plastic so I guess it won't work if you wear gloves.

General Mach Discussion / Can you stop release on outside jogging
« on: August 31, 2006, 01:35:18 PM »
Hi

When using my touch screen I've noticed if you press a jog button then move your finger off the button before releasing, the axis caries on jogging till you press and release the button again. While I can see the advantage of this for manual machining, I've also experienced the downside of it having my tool rapid straight into my job and not being quick enough to stop it, luckily it was only a wooden test piece.

Is there a way of disabling this function or changing it so it only does it on a double click or something?

Cheers

I've got mine running on a 550MHz Athlon (Mach3, windows 2000) seems to run fine most of the time, just seems a bit slow when you swap from one screen set to another.

So a 1GHz should be ample

Servo

Go to Config then State and click the button Auto Screen Enlarge so there is no tick in the box then reload Hoods screen, it should work then.

Mach Screens / Toolpath Colour Change
« on: August 21, 2006, 05:41:08 PM »
Is it possible to change the the colour of the tool path and if it is how?

I've bought a cheap second hand touch screen but the colours are very poor and you can't see the blue toolpath against the black background so if I could change the colour of one of them it would be great.

Cheers

Chris
