oke, then you have to configure the plugin in the mach3 plugin controll window. if you choose the pokeys plugin, encoders tab, configure the right pins and choose the right dro, thats all.

hi ozzie,

do you see the raw values changing in the standalone pokeys software?

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / Re: NFS Turn Wizard

hi ron,

great wizard. but i have one request.

if i fill in the OD threading DRO's like: z-start = -10 and z-end = 1 your wizard generates an alarm that says that z-start must be greater than z-end. is it possible not to check for this like the "simple threading wizard" does. because it depends on how the user would like to cut the thread. i have an EmcoTurn 120 and on my machine it is much more easier to cut the thread from left to right. simply leave the check if z end is smaller than z-start will do the trick

PoKeys / Re: pokeys 56u analog FeedRate Override issues
« on: February 09, 2013, 02:25:08 AM »
that is just what i try to tell you with my video, don't use potentiometers to control feed and speed override: use encoders (mpg). i used low cost encoders (4 $) for feed and speed override. for the rest is follow the manual.

hi, i think this is the way to use feedrate and speed override (see movie). not with resitors but with encoders.

Hi,

Tnx for looking to reset the encodervalue with the mach reset fro button.

No i did not use the dro twice, first i tested it with the analog on port 41 and then on port 43, no result. I can see the analog values change in the pokeys plugin but the mapping from the pokeysvalue to the mach dro does not work.

The same results for speed override

Thanks

PoKeys / pokeys 56u analog FeedRate Override issues
« on: December 08, 2012, 08:55:43 AM »
hi,

i use the latest mach and pokeys software.
if i map encoder 1 directly to FRO (DRO:821) it works great, but it would be perfect if i press reset FRO that the encodervalue would be reset too to a value of 100.
if i use analog input on input 41-47 and if i map this to DRO:821, feedrate override does not respond correctly, or not respond at all.

General Mach Discussion / softlimits and 4th axis
« on: November 04, 2012, 03:28:33 AM »
hi,

in general config there is an option to turn on/off softlimits for the fourth axis (rotational: rotational softlimits). this does not seem to work. if you turn softlimits on the softlimits for the fourth axis are enabled, no mather if the rotational limits are checked on or off.

hi russ,

it has nothing to do with touchscreen drivers. if you would be so kind just select auto calculator in the operator menu. now you can fill in a value in an dro with your mouse. if you try for example 34.89 you will find that 34. will work but the 89 you cannot fill in.

tnx
