Hi,

I do not think this is a hardware issue. According to neoto  the plugin of SS is causing the trouble

Hi,

Neoto explained me that this cannot be asmoothstepper issue. Within a few weeks i will test my pendant with the sro funtion in combination with a cslabs controller. I will report my findings here,

Tnx tantan

i did a few more tests. it is definatly the SRO function wich causes all the trouble. i did also test it with an other pokeys56 wich i cleared and only configured the SRO: wrong again. so if you could solve this it would be great!.

hi,

i found out what the problem was: it is an old issue: the speed override function. as mentioned before this is not working as it should be. it produces glitches so the spindle speed is shortly set to max and back. and it produces the error with the ethernet smootstepper. i think if you find the problem for the glitches you solve the stability problem too.

SmoothStepper USB / Re: ESS and Pokeys
« on: March 12, 2014, 11:12:33 AM »
hi,

pokeys is perfect for hmi, it has a powerfull plugin in mach3 to quickly define userfunctions to i/o. the poblocks is a wonderfull piece of enginering. ESS is wonderfull too but in a different way.

hi, i did the check with a pokeys connected to the system (and recognised in mach3) but with no configuration of I/O. then it runs fine with the smoothstepper. what is the best way arround to configure the io?

tnx tantan

hi. no it is configured with 3 encoders, 1 for axis move, 2 for speed and feed override, and a few buttons.
