General Mach Discussion / softlimits and 4th axis

hi,

in general config there is an option to turn on/off softlimits for the fourth axis (rotational: rotational softlimits). this does not seem to work. if you turn softlimits on the softlimits for the fourth axis are enabled, no mather if the rotational limits are checked on or off.

SmoothStepper USB / Ess and parallel port

Hi,

I use the ESS with mach3 and it works great. If you use the smoothstepper the parallelports are signed out. Is it possible to use the ess simultaneously with the parallel port. The reason i ask is that i would like to,use the 2nd parallel port on my computer for my pendant?

hi,

i want to disable/enable my spindle in mach to prevent the spindle from running from gcode or button on the machscreen. is there a way (oem code) to disable/enable the output i use to start the spindle. i allready looked in the oemlist but i could not find any, just to disable the axis.

SmoothStepper USB / startup screen smoothstepper or normal printerport operation

hi all,

when i start mach, i used to become a dialogscreen where i could select if i want to use the smoothstepper or normal printer port operation. i still get the screen in turn but not in mill. can i switch it on again somewhere in mill?

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / undesirable behavior of wizard

i used the keyway wizard. it works fine but:

the code which is generated is for example X-90 y0. a few lines above is G1 F75. if mach3 executes the line x-90 y0 and while the machine is moving i press stop. no worries yet: the machine stops. but when i press run mach go's on with the  the x-90 y0 command but then with G0 speed. ?

i think the solution would be to generate code like: G1 x-90 y0 F75

is there a OEM Code for "Output 8 Active LED". i cannot find it in the lists, the last code fo rthe output leds is OEM Code for "Output 6 Active LED"

hi,

i tried the 3.043.038 version because of the tooloffset dro. the changelog says the driver is updated for threading but that does not work properly. the last version (as far as i know) is 3.042.039 which does threading correct.

PoKeys / analog feedrate override in mach

hi,

I have 2 pokeys working on 2 different pc's with mach installed. i use the latest mach and pokeys software. i connected a potmeter to pin 43 and i use the brains (posted on this forum) to connect the analog signal to the feedrate override. all works well but when i start the pc and mach3 there is a delay of almost 30 seconds before the feedrate override actually responds to the potmeter movement. if i view the brain in debug mode i can see the signal changing but the bar on the mach screen does not respond the first app. 30 seconds. after the 30 seconds everything works fine.

it is not a big problem and i am very happy with the pokeys functionality but i am just curious why this signal is delayed after start up.
