Libbet,

I have the same problem. I did my machine about 2-1/2 years ago.

When running in low range I have to use M04 to run the spindle forward. People have told me  it is a glitch in the version of Mach that I am using.

It needs to be updated, but it is running too good. Hopefully in the next month I will do this. Then the machine can power tap.

Check your version of Mach.

Libbit,

On the 125 board you  have some relays that you can use to  control the dust collector. You might need to set up a separate button or use a brain for it.

I found out the spindle problem was the version of Mach that I am running.  I will probably change it and do some sorting out when it gets slow.

Thanks Brett,

I appreciate the info.

Can I just install the newer version over the older one? Or, do I need to uninstall the older version?

Thanks,
Jack

I am wanting to upgrade to a newer version of Mach3. Apparently,  my version is the one that has the spindle reverse pulley bug. Was downloaded around July 2010 ( I think?????)

I know I can save my .xml file and reuse it. Are there any other settings that I need to make note of?

I have taken pictures of each screen, in the event that something happens and they have to be re-done completely.

Thanks,

JAckal

Hood,

I like that and may steal your idea.

I was wanting to mount the button on my pendant. Sometimes I drop the pendant and it could hit the corner of something that might activate the switch.

The covered button suggested by Hood sounds really good. :)

Thanks,

Let me know how it works out.

I have just been afraid  to set up  1 button, because accidents do happen.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing.

On my set-up there will be (2) button  switches that have to be pressed at the same time.

Hopefully this will eliminate any accidental activation. ;)

Thanks Hood,

I'll look further into that.
