I've  had some recent problems from a mouse ( rodent) getting in my electrical cabinet.
The computer tried to boot,  but wouldn't  fully boot.
I found where a mouse has been in my cabinet .
There are a couple of chewed wires,  but mostly  pee on some stuff.
I'm going  to unplug and re-seat all the connections.
If this  doesn't  work, I'll  have to set up another  computer.
I had a copy of my .XML???? file on a jump drive, but can't locate it at the moment.
If I have to use another computer, how hard will it be to do all the settings?
Will this be like starting over with a new machine?
It's been 10 years since my build.
I have drawings and pin outs, and pictures of everything.  Even several pages of wiring diagrams wire colors,, and wire numbers..
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Hopefully  I can find a loose connection.

General Mach Discussion / Need idea for timed oiler
« on: May 25, 2020, 10:16:56 PM »
I haven't messed with my Mach 3 in a while.
There is an auto oiler, that is operated by a slow geared drive and contacts.
About every 20 minutes, it clicks on, and oils for 7 seconds????????
I have an override button on the control panel that I hit during startup and when homing everything.

Would I need to program a brain for something like that?
Can you direct me to where I can find info on this.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks Tweakie!!
I remember talking to you about a few things when I was building it.
The version I have won't do a power tap\ instant reverse.
I was told by many people to update, but never did.
Thanks again!👍👍

I did a retrofit on a mill around 2011..
Hood was a lot of help.
I'm wanting to upgrade to a newer version.
I think mine is a 2010 ??????? Version..
I haven't messed with it since 2014.
Maybe 2 or 3 times  a year.

Do I need to back up anything?
Maybe take pictures of my settings\ tuning incase something happens?
  Any info appreciated.

Jack

Hello,
I haven't  been on here in a while.
When I did my retro back  in  2011, Hood gave me a lot of help.
I want to update to a newer version.
Can you tell me what I need to look at and save in my current settings?
I don't  want to update  and lose my current tuning and parameters.
 Thanks,
Jack

Libbet,

I have the same problem. I did my machine about 2-1/2 years ago.

When running in low range I have to use M04 to run the spindle forward. People have told me  it is a glitch in the version of Mach that I am using.

It needs to be updated, but it is running too good. Hopefully in the next month I will do this. Then the machine can power tap.

Check your version of Mach.

Libbit,

On the 125 board you  have some relays that you can use to  control the dust collector. You might need to set up a separate button or use a brain for it.

I found out the spindle problem was the version of Mach that I am running.  I will probably change it and do some sorting out when it gets slow.
