I don't think there is an easy way. You need to experiment with velocity and acceleration settings in motor tuning as well as your feedrates in the GCode. You should be able to find a point where constant velocity just rounds the corners a little but the speed reduction is not too great. Everything is a compromise. Keep us posted on your progress (I haven't really tried cutting balsa wood yet as I always seem to buy ARTF nowadays).
This was perhaps a trick of the light or camera function but from more tests carried out I can safely say that ( for my setup and triggering circuit ) it makes no difference at all if 40uS is checked or not, the end results are the same.
Perhaps a fresh install of Mach may be the first thing to try. Initially just try re-installing over the top of the existing version and if that does not cure it then uninstall, delete all traces, having made backup copies of you license .dat and .xml files etc. then a fresh install. That's what I would try.
Something that would perhaps be nice, although it may mean a lot of work, is to have a ‘Verified Member’ symbol (for those that have applied for it) to show that a member of this forum does indeed have a genuine Mach3 licence. I agree with Rich and I am very happy to help those newcomers who are using the trial version or indeed a licensed version but there are far too many Ivan’s and Papa’s for my liking.
One question I have concerning your cast iron piston rings - The bore and OD were turned, they were parted off then they were placed on a mandrel and heat treated but how did you make the split in the rings (O into a C) please ?
