Is there going to be a fix for the parallel port so Mach can run on Windows 10?

Unfortunately not - Win 10 will require an external motion controller for Mach3 operation.

Hello everyone,just introducing myself, i am new to lazycam and Mach 3, i got myself one of those Chinese CNC mills (6040), i am pretty happy with it, i practiced a lot of CADCAM in school, but since i started working i never got a chance to do it any more, so this CNC is my opportunity to do again something i really enjoyed.
I got a problem with Lazycam right now, i want to cut the outline  of a letter G, i create the vector in illustrator, export it as dxf, but when i open it in LazyCam some lines take shortcuts and skip one or 2 anchor points.
I dont know how to load an image here, let me keep trying.

FAQs / Re: Mach 3 only loads half of the gcode

i am having the same issues only a portion of the gcode loads up when I load it but that's when the parallel drivers are installed when i uninstall mach3 and install it again without the parallel driver then the entire gcode loads. Any help would be appreciated.

Without the licence file installed Mach3 operates in Demo mode. It will only run the first 500 lines of Gcode with the parallel port drivers installed - purchasing and installing the Mach3 license file removes this restriction.

Hi Dan,

As far as I am aware nobody (as yet) has ever written a Mach3 plugin for the Phidgets interface. If you have not done so already then perhaps the Phidgets forum may be a good place to ask.

when i try to run any of my programs that were working fine before i get an error that says can not do g1 at zero feedrate.

Sounds like none of your programs have the feed-rate set before you are commanding a feed-rate move ??

Perhaps the easiest solution would be to add F100 (or whatever feed-rate you require) to the Initialization String (Config / General Config).

Hi Don,

It is my understanding that future development of Mach3 has ceased (in favour of Mach4 taking over) so the existing tangential problems are unlikely to ever be fixed.
