Hi JimKal,

You need to go into Config. / General Config. and change the IJ Mode.

If you then Regen. Toolpath the display will be correct and the code should run just fine.

Ideally your Gcode should contain the G90.1 or G91.1 (as appropriate) and this is perhaps a failing of your CamBam post processor.

Hi Ghantos,

Screen button codes are stored in the Screenset (typically 1024.set)
Ports and Pins data is stored in the .xml file (typically <your profile>.xml)
The .xml file is stored in the Mach3 folder (as is the screen .set file)


If installing a new version of Mach3 the official word is…

1) Backup the following to the desktop, or even better, a USB drive:
•   XML(Profile) – This stores you’re settings for Mach3, if you lose it you will need to re-setup you’re ports and pins, motor tuning, etc.
•   Screensets
•   Macros/Brains
2) Download the current version of Mach3 from the Downloads & Update page.
3) Install the downloaded version; allow the install path to default to where Mach3 is installed.

WARNING: If you do not backup the files in Step 1, you will lose ALL settings and configurations.

What are the technical or performance issues with an integrated video card when running Windows 7?

It depends on the architecture of the particular computer (some will work OK whilst others will not – thus the recommendation by NFS) but the most common issue, I have found, is program flow (freezing) when running long Gcode files.

Set Z zero and the cutter to be the top surface of the work then run your Gcode file again. Assuming the cut depth is wrong then if the Z axis is jogged (or MDI) to zero does the cutter still touch the surface of the work ??

Hi Ken,

Welcome to the forum.

When you purchase a Chinese machine it is most unlikely to be supplied with a genuine Mach3 license.

I have no idea why your screen has boxes across the top, it is not a license issue.

Rename your Mach3 folder to Mach3 backup (or something similar).
Download and install a fresh copy of Mach3 http://www.machsupport.com/software/mach3/
Copy the <your profile> .xml file from the backup to your new Mach3 folder.

Mach3 should then work correctly.

Hi Eric,

I have not yet found anything in your .xml file which may need changing but, as Gerry suggests, your X axis could be stalling.
To test this try temporarily reducing both your Velocity and Acceleration settings in Motor Tuning for both your X and Y axes by 50% (saving the changes for each axis) then report back on the result.
